520 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS When he had a conversation with him, and observed his God-given knowledge, wisdom, and profound disposition, then his deep insight bore witness that he indeed was a most precious pearl. Thus, he inclined to help him immediately, to bring him close to him, and admit him into his close and trusted circle. He said, 'Fear not-you are this day one of our honourable help- ers. This is how Allah established my father and made him beloved in their eyes. He blessed him with honour, acceptance, and prosper- ity, and looked towards him with compassion and beneficence. This surely is the grace and mercy of Allah, and He is the Most Merciful. I have heard my mother repeatedly saying: ‘Our days changed with your birth. Beforehand, we suffered through extreme adversity, trials, and were afflicted with various kinds of pain; then with your birth we were blessed with everything good-surely, you were a blessed soul. ' My father began to grow in rank and status till it culminated in high esteem and prestige. Allah granted him the robe of honour and glory and did not let him suffer the lack of anything; he became abundantly prosperous. Then he was overwhelmed with the memory of his homeland and a yearning to return to their abandoned lands and abodes. He, thereafter, struck the tents of exile and alienation, and saddled instead the steeds of homecoming to his fold and family. He returned to his stock safe and sound with freshness, verdure, wealth, and opulence, being well provided for and ever generous. This was purely an act of blessing from Allah who removed our grief and sorrow from us and conferred bless- ing upon us. He became our Protector and Guardian and showered His favours upon us, and He is the Best of Benefactors. Afterwards, my father decided to try his fortune in agriculture in order to deliver himself from troublesome travel and separation that casts one away from one's fold, sons, and daughters. He deemed it beneficial to possess a piece of land and cultivate it. By the grace of Allah, he managed to produce a good and prosperous livelihood, and some villages were returned to him which had been snatched from his
