462 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS making the darkness appear as light through the potency of their [deceptive] sorcery. Being inspired by their actions, a group of Hindus has emerged who call themselves 'Arya'. They claim that, 'We do not believe in any book except our Vedas, which were revealed in the beginning of the world. ' In reality their Vedas teach nothing except worshipping the sun, moon, stars, fire, water, and air. Moreover, if sons are not born to their wives, their Vedas enjoins them to let their wives commit adultery and by these means produce a male issue for them, and they should persist with this manner forever for their salvation. In their religious terminol- ogy, , this act is called Niyog and they believe it to be a pious act. Such is their religious code and such are the injunctions of their holy book. Despite all this evil, they stop their people from embracing Islam and, out of their evil and wickedness, they abuse the Best of Creation and persist in revilement, vituperation, and blasphemy, and produce books in refutation of Islam. Their refutation is nothing but a pile of fabrications. All these evils were initiated by the Christian priests and the earth has been shaken with a violent shaking. Allah is the Best Guardian and Refuge. One of the great and blessed Signs is that when He found the depravity of the Christians and saw them vigorously hin- dering people from religion and saw them maligning the Messenger of Allah and being contemptuous unto him, while on their other hand extravagantly exaggerating the status of Ibn-e-Maryam [the son of Mary], then His wrath was aroused with His honour and He addressed me, saying: انی جاعلك عيسى ابن مريم و كان الله على كل شيء مقتدرا. . [I have made you 'Isā ibn-e-Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary) and Allah has power to do all that He wills. ] Accordingly, I am the honour of Allah which appeared at its time so that the people who exaggerated in the matter of ‘Īsā [Jesus], should
