They are the people whose hearts are infatuated with Allah's love. He has purified their souls, cleansed them, glorified them, and exalted them to Himself. They are always engrossed in the remembrance of their Beloved. They are wholeheartedly drawn towards the Truth, are totally lost in their Beloved, have sacrificed their souls, have fulfilled their vows, and have completely submitted themselves to Allah. They have abandoned their selfish desires and nothing has remained under their covering except Allah. You may perceive them to be present and extant while they have been lost. They brutally drew their swords against their selves and became detached from them as a snake sheds its skin. Allah sees their sincerity and loyalty while they are invisible to the eyes of the people. Angels marvel at their serenity, submission, steadfastness, and the bond of love with their Beloved, while the ignorant laugh at them. People hurt and harm them with false accusations and condemn them as dis- believers with fabrications, while none but Allah knows their inner truth, hidden as they are under His veil. Those who prefer the life of this world-resting content with it, sinning, spilling the blood of the righteous, and standing firm upon that of which they have no knowledge whatsoever—will soon know come to know the place they shall return. They fear people and do not fear Allah, while they are witnesses against themselves. Their ego, pride, and glory have restrained them from embracing the truth. So, they knowingly turned away from the Caller to Allah. Every one of them disregards the Sunnah of the Holy Prophetsas, tampers with it, and invites and welcomes innovations to them. They say, 'Look at my piety and asceticism. They are bereft of knowledge but consider them- selves to be the men close to God. They look towards people but they do not look towards Allah. They fail to see the assault of tribulations against Islam and they sit prostrat- ing before their selfish desires as pagans sit before their idols, and they
