ADDRESS 19 is against the paths of guidance, but this matter remained obscure to you. Thus, how can I cause you to accept that which you avoid to even touch? Soon you shall remember what I have been telling you; and I affair to Allah—my Lord—who looks at my heart and finds therein what you find not. entrust my O my people! Why have you exceeded all limits in your affairs, throwing the Quran behind your backs? Do you intentionally follow something other than the Furqan [Discrimination—the Holy Quran]? Those who address themselves wholly towards God fear not the sepa- ration of anyone and remain serene by His promise. They find comfort in Allah, their Master, and in Him do they place their trust. They hear and speak through Him and through His light do they see. They are apprized of His subtle knowledge and His secrets are laid bare for them. If you were in doubt about any book and pon- claim, then read my der over my response, and ask Allah what there is in my mantle, if you seek the Truth that the truthful always seek. Keep praying and become not weary. Purify your motives and do not besmirch them. Pray in the hours of your nights and tire not. Wait for the hour of mercy and be watchful. Strive as it behoves you to strive; it will be disclosed to you and you will be guided. my Glad tidings for him who comes with a heart that is penitent and sound. Glad tidings for him who comes with upright and clear under- standing. Glad tidings for the soul that retreats at the sight of doubts and asks Allah for understanding of the complexities. Glad tidings for the feet that impel the legs to flee from the temptation to backbite against your brethren and to declare them disbelievers. Glad tidings for to the eyes that have been guided by Truth to what is right and safeguarded from paths of corruption and ruin. Glad tidings for the footsteps that move toward good deeds and turn away from the schemes of sin. Glad tidings for the self that has purged itself from its surging carnal passion and Glad tidings for the souls that have been granted from the burning thirst of the truth and its intensity. Glad tidings for the intellect that knows no weariness, nor yields until it beholds the desired objective.
