The bait of Christians and the net of their chiefs have ensnared them from the depths of the seas to the heights of the skies. Their ships sail through the seas of misguidance. Everything upon the earth trembled in fear of their majesty's splen- dour, so they fell prostrate before them. No dwelling, hut, or nest was spared from the hands of hunters. These Christians transgressed till they looked into the scriptures of Prophets and interpreted it accord- ing to their own views. They added and deleted things therefrom as if they themselves were Prophets and Messengers. Then they turned towards the sovereignty of Allah and Divine acts. They meddled in such affairs which they had no right to interfere. They were exultant with their plots and believed themselves to be in full command over everything as if they were the God of the worlds. They became indifferent, brazenly transgressing the bounds, and far sur- passed the atheists in their pride, disbelief, and narcissism. Indeed, this is what was meant by the proclamation of Prophethood and Divinity [by the Antichrist, mentioned in the Hadith]. Hence, a wise person should easily understand it. The earth became filled with disorder due to their deception and people hastened, save a few, towards their worldly embellishment, elegance, gloss of their fruits, their food, their gardens, and to their charming damsels with the exception of those who were safeguarded by Allah. Allah saves whom He pleases and He is the Best Saviour. A great storm has swept over the acts of the people and their beliefs, piety, righteousness, intentions, perceptions, deeds, sayings, eyes, ears, religion, faith, morals, the manners of their favours, courtesies, affec- tions, sons, brethren, daughters, women, virtue, insight, hands and their tongues. The wind of disorder blew upon them from every direction and darkness encompassed them from all sides. Creation was shaken with a violent shaking, and their senses were lost and they became like the bewildered. They did not know whether chastisement was intended for those who are in the earth or whether their Lord intends mercy for them. They were looking for the secret of the unseen to be revealed.
