REBUTTAL TO SHAIKH BATĀLAWI بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ! نَحْمَدُهُ وَنُصَلَّى الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَالسَّلَامِ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِيْنَ اصْطَفَى - ]All praise is due to Allah and peace be on his chosen servants]. To proceed, I received your registered let- ter on 4 January 1893. This letter, which is full of lies, accusations, and false allegations, did not merit a reply, and I could have ignored it, but on pages 2 and 3 of your letter, you mentioned three prophecies of my humble self. You have offered to be bound by the last prophecy pub- lished in Nür Afshāń of 10 May 1888, and in my public announcement issued on 10 July 1888. You have declared that if this revelation proves to be true, you will accept me as a Mulham [recipient of Divine revela- tion] and will concede your error in regarding my beliefs and teachings to be opposed to truth and considering me immoral and misguided. I deemed it appropriate, therefore, to have compassion once again on your condition and draw your attention to the proof of this prophecy which is based on revelation. 1.
