A LETTER TO SHAIKH MUHAMMAD HUSAIN BATALAWI 333 vouchsafed to me in general terms. If you so desire, upon focusing on the matter for a few days, I would seek further knowledge, and upon being apprized with details by the grace of God Almighty, I would pub- lish them in some newspapers. I would like to have your special written permission for such pub- lication. I am writing this letter merely out of a feeling of sympathy for you and I am sending it to you after adding the signatures of a few witnesses. I close with the prayer : رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِيْنَ ]O our Lord, decide Thou between us and between our people with truth, and Thou art the Best of those who decide. ] Amin.
