Used along with a rose, I am bene- ficial for rheumatism and kidney and bladder stones. For constipation, I provide speedy relief if used along with the extract of cucumber seeds. I am beneficial for the colic in passing air. Moreover, if difficulties are suffered in childbirth, I induce childbirth if used with two doses of the water extract of root orchis mascula or milk or syrup of triangular thorn. I am beneficial for epileptic fits, and several diseases of the brain and nervous system. I am beneficial for inflammation in the back, arm- pits, groin, throat and granular swelling, and all kinds of swelling of the neck. I am beneficial during a plague. Used with vinegar, I relieve the swelling of the eyelashes. If rubbed upon the teeth, I relieve dental pain. Because of my soothing properties, I relieve pain if rubbed on puss or piles. Used as eye drops, I remove ophthalmia. If applied locally, I benefit in the difficulty of urination. If used with musk or other suit- able medication, I am very beneficial for sensual vigour. Moreover, I am beneficial in epilepsy, depression, stroke, facial paralysis, flaccidity, shaking tremor, numbness of limbs, and all such diseases. I am a tonic for the nervous system and brain. If I am not available, Zerumbet is my substitute in many cases. In short, all these things proclaim their own praise by virtue of their features and are veiled in the screen of their specific qualities and have therefore drifted away from the Fountainhead of Grace. Without the intervention of such things which are free from these veils, no design of the Fountainhead of Grace can establish a relationship with them inas- much as the veil prevents the grace from reaching them. The wisdom of God Almighty, therefore, required that the primary manifestation of His designs should be a form of creation which should be empty of being veiled by the self, and should possess a form which, contrary to other things, should by its nature, be free from the intervening self and should serve God Almighty as His limbs, and their number should correspond to the designs of God Almighty, which are related to crea- tion and all its needs.
