104 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS or the Holy Spirit; for, the existence of an effect proves the existence of a cause. If this rule is not correct, then how could one even learn about the existence of God Almighty? Can anyone show where God Almighty is? It is only by seeing the effects that are a specimen of His power that the necessity of the existence of that Real Cause is acknowl- edged. The spiritually enlightened do, however, in the highest stage of their spiritual development, see Him with their spiritual eyes and can also hear His discourses. However, for the maḥjūb, outside of seeing His effects, what other means of evidence is there for believing in the existence of the Real Cause? Accordingly, it is through this very man- ner that the existence of the Holy Spirit and of satans is proven-and not only proven but also seen with the utmost clarity. AUTHOR'S MARGIN NOTE The evidence of the exist- ence of angels and satans is among those rare insights with which this humble one has been uniquely and spe- cially endowed through the overflowing inspirations of the Quran. Pity be upon the sorry state of those people who, being impressed by the obscurity of futile philosophy, have come to deny the existence of angels and satans and rejected the clear texts and proofs of the Noble Quran, and fell into the pit of heresy brimming with ignorance. Bear in mind, in this context, that this [Islamic] tenet is among those tenets for whose corroboration God Almighty has singled out this humble one to deduce the verities of the Noble Quran.
