THE MIRACLE OF AHMAD فَقُمْتُ وَلَمْ أُعْرِضْ وَلَمْ أَتَعَذَّرُ فَأَخْرَجَنِي مِنْ حُجْرَتِي حُكْمُ مَالِكِيْ It was the command of my Master that brought me out of my chamber; I, therefore, rose up in submission to Him making no delay. وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمَوْلَى الْكَرِيمِ وَإِنَّهُ يُحَافِظُنِي فِي كُلِّ دَشْتٍ وَيَغْفِرُ I am from God, the Benevolent; He protects me in every jungle and guides me. فَيَعْصِمُنِي رَبِّي وَهَذَا مُقَدَّرُ فَكِيدُوا جَمِيعَ الْكَيْدِ يَا أَيُّهَا الْعِدَا O enemies! Hatch against me all kinds of plans; God my Lord will protect me. And, this is what has been decreed. مَضَى وَقْتُ ضَرْبِ الْمُرْهِفَاتِ وَدَفْوُهَا وَإِنَّا بِبُرْهَانٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ تَنْحَرُ Gone are the times when swords were drawn for fight. I slay my enemies with arguments from Almighty God. وَلِلَّهِ سُلْطَانُ وَحُكُمْ وَشَوْكَةٌ وَنَحْنُ كُمَاةٌ بِالْإِشَارَةِ نَحْضُرُ To Allah belong sovereignty, command, and grandeur; I am only a knight who answers His call when commanded. إِذَا مَا رَأَيْنَا حَائِرًا أَجْهَلَ الْوَرَى طَوَيْنَا كِتَابَ الْبَحْثِ وَالْآيُ أَظْهَرُ When I saw Ali Hairi, who is the worst among the lot of igno- rant people, I told him: 'The Signs I put forth are evident.
