xii HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMADAS In this book the Promised Messiah, peace be upon him, also lays out the correct manner in which to write rebuttals to any opponent, and expounds on ten profound conditions for one that wishes to enter into religious debates. The Promised Messiah, peace be upon him, also urges the Muslim ummah to capitalise upon this occasion by collating all allegations raised against Islam and then to answer their refutation through a comprehensive book. In this book, the Promised Messiah, peace be upon him, has also included a list of hundreds of books on varying sciences for the purpose that anyone who desired to debate him should have studied these first. The English translation of Al-Balāgh was translated and pre- pared under the auspices and direction of Hadrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul-Masīḥ V, may Allah be his Helper. The present rendering was carried out by various scholars. The final transla- tion, formatting and indexing was prepared by Shahzeb Athar, Nauman Hadi and Abdul Quddus Arif.
