422 MALFUZAT ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF URDU VOLUME IO مَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينَا بَلْ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ ! That is, the Jews did not kill Jesusas as they presume-nor did they succeed in this way to substantiate their assertion that he was a false prophet. On the contrary, Allah the Exalted ele- vated him spiritually and saved him from such disgrace and misfortune. If it is only physical ascension that is the cause of salvation, holiness, nearness, and endearment to God, then all Prophets must be adjudged as false, and none can be consid- ered having attained salvation, let alone being near and dear to God. (We seek refuge with Allah against this). Prejudice has rendered them of no use whatsoever. 2 UNDATED Auspiciousness Lies in Giving Precedence to God Almighty over Everything The Promised Messiahas said: What kind of faith can a person be said to have if he gives pref- erence to some object or some human being over God?
