26 DECEMBER 1905 217 convenience and optimal arrangement of the commentary, I first set forth that part together and then give its translation, followed by the commentary (Editor): بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ Ο الم ذَلِكَ الْكِتَبُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لا الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلوةَ وَ مِمَّا رَزَقْتُهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَ مَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ وَ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ أُولَئِكَ عَلَى هُدًى مِّنْ رَّبِّهِمْ وَ أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ 10 Translation: [In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. ] I am Allah, the All-Knowing. This Book, in which there is no doubt or suspicion, is a guidance for the muttaqi (who are the muttaqi?) who believe in the unseen and establish Prayer and spend out of whatsoever they have been given. And the muttaqi are those who believe in the revelation that has been revealed upon you and in the revelation that was revealed before you and also believe in the Hereafter. These are indeed the people who are guided by their Lord, and it is they who will prosper. Commentary الم ذَلِكَ الْكِتَبُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِلْمُتَّقِينَ 20 I am Allah, the All-Knowing.
