21 OCTOBER 1904 7 Prophets are innocent of sins, but others obtain similarity to them through taubah [repentance] and istighfar [seeking forgiveness]. ¹ 21 OCTOBER 1904 The Mercy of Allah the Exalted is Vast The relative of a gentleman was imprisoned for some reason. On his mention, Hadrat Hakeem Noor-ud-Deenra submitted that I have asked that he be urged to do istighfar himself. Upon this, the Promised Messiah, peace be on him, said that: Some people worthy of istighfar do carry out istighfar, and others obtain release by the sheer mercy of God. His mercy is indeed vast for those who possess crooked dispositions. A Persian Revelation of the Holy Prophet, may Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him Once, someone asked the Holy Prophet, may peace and bless- ings of Allah be upon him, whether Allah the Exalted had ever spoken to him in the Persian language.
