Shias etc. , who keep chanting 'Husain, Husain, became wretched because they idolised a human being, and the light of cognisance disappeared from their bosoms. After this, the Promised Messiah as described some incidents from when he was a student and related to his Shia teacher, which showed how far this group had been deprived of verities and cognisance. ¹ 9 AUGUST 1905 (Evening gathering) The Cause of Being Deprived of the True Religion A young Hindu had come from Peshawar to see the Promised Messiah, peace and blessings be on him.
