' The Promised Messiah as said: But such mistakes that to be a follower of the Antichrist for twenty years, and to face such debasement and disrespect that he was a follower of Satan for twenty years and had pledged his allegiance with the one he thought to be the Antichrist and then claimed to be the messiah himself. The Promised Messiahas said: In this letter, 'Abdul-Hakim also discloses that my claim is wrong. I am not that Messiah which has been foretold in the Holy Quran and the Hadith. Since he accepts the death of the Messiah of Nazareth, therefore, he must be convinced of the coming of some other messiah. But if he does not come during the time that calls for [his appearance] with the specified Signs then tell us in which period will he appear? Twenty-five years have elapsed of the fourteenth century. Nawwāb Siddiq Hasan Khan has also written that the Messiah will come at the head of the century. If that messiah has not yet come, then according to his statement this century passed in vain. All the Signs were fulfilled but that messiah still did not appear. It is written in the Hadith that when the Messiah comes, the scholars of that time will vehemently oppose him as he will act against their ahādīth. ¹ Nawwab Siddiq Husain Khan has also written that the maulawis will write fatwas of his infidelity and will say that he is destroying the religion of Islam. ² Now that 'Abdul-Hakim writes this and that about me, 1.
