108 HAZRAT RA might have caused immense grief to a worldly man, but to a man like Hazrat Maulawi Noor-ud- Deenra, it was one of the ordinary events of daily life. This was because of his complete trust in Allah. A close friend of Hazrat Maulawi Noor-ud- Deen ra, describes this event: I was present at the time when Hakeem Sahib was removed from the service of the State. I was also a teacher in Jammu High School. I knew that the income of Hakeem Sahib was about Rs. 1500 monthly and the whole of his monthly income used to be spent in the way of God, and sometimes more, and it was not the habit of Hakeem Sahib to save something out of it. The loss of such a well-paying job in such times did not create even the slightest wrinkle on his face.
