The First Bai'at On 1 December 1888, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as announced through Sabz Ishtihar (The Green Announcement) that he had been told by God Almighty to accept Bai'at. On 12 January 1889, he announced the terms and conditions of the Bai'at. He also announced that a meeting in Ludhiana would be held to accept Bai'ats.
