III Publisher's Note The book "Did Jesus Redeem Mankind?" first published in 1960, is an English translation of the commentary and notes on Surah Maryam, chapter 19 of the Holy Quran, by Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II (May Allah be pleased with him). This thought-provoking book delves into the question of whether putting Jesus Christ on the cross was sufficient to redeem all of humanity, using references from both the Holy Quran and the Bible. We are pleased to publish a revised edition under the auspices of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (May Allah be his Helper), the fifth Successor of the Promised Messiah as and Supreme Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at. While updating the design and layout for this edition, extra precautions were taken to preserve the integrity of the original text. A comprehensive index is also included that will provide readers with a deeper understanding of the topic at hand.
