But if they are prepared to say, while subscribing to the view that the Almighty has the power that the progeny of Eve can be sinless, we would then claim that God the Almighty has the power similarly to create a sinless progeny from the seed of Adam. In that case, there remains no urge to lay emphasis on hereditary sin nor any occasion for sacrificing the Son of God in atonement. In other words, the entire structure of vicarious atonement crashes down instantly. Christians should come along on the level and accept that God the Almighty has the power to create pious progeny of sinful parents. But if they are prepared to concede that God has this power in respect of the progeny of Eve but are not willing to agree that He has similar power in respect of the seed of Adam, it would be an objectionable thing. The long and short of it is, whether God the Almighty has the power to create a pious generation. If He has the power to create a pious progeny of a sinning mother, He has the power similarly to create a sinless progeny of a sinful father. And if God has not the power to create a sinless progeny of a sinful father, we would have to conclude that He has no power to create a pious progeny of a sinful mother either.
