DID YOU? KNOW Upon migrating from Makkah to Madinah, the Holy Prophet sas established a system of Muwaakhaat (brotherhood) between the Muhaajireen (emigrants from Makkah), and the Ansaar in Madinah. He did this by pairing up each of the Muhaajireen with someone from the Ansaar to create strong bonds of love, trust, and support for the newcomers. The Ansaar generously shared their homes, lands, and resources with their brothers in faith. 36
