And I would tell him that the Promised Messiah's first successor was Hazrat Maulana Noor-ud-Deenra—a unique and one-of-a-kind scholar and his second and current successor is his eldest son, Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Deen Mahmood Ahmad. Muhammad Yaar used to read the Quran sometimes during the day, but after this discussion, he increased his frequency and often would recite the Quran in the prison for most of the night and then sleep during the day.
