First Grain of Sand — Page 26

10 FIRST GRAIN OF SAND number of Aryah, orthodox Hindus, and Muslims all gathered to watch. And those two young Aryah Hindu preachers suffered such a resounding defeat that in that same private gathering, other Aryah members responded saying that while these two preachers could not give the right answers, they would like to invite another Hindu scholar to debate me as well. At that time, another preacher stood up and began speaking further about reincarnation. After a back-and-forth exchange, he no longer could answer my points and suddenly ended, saying that until now he had believed rein- carnation to be true. Next, the controversial Aryah Samaj community organized their first ever Annual Gathering with a focus on converting the illiterate and poor Hindus—who were deemed ‘untouchable' and the bottom rung of society according to the Hindu ritual social hierarchy. This stirred tensions between the orthodox Hindus and the divergent Aryah movement. By the grace of God Almighty, the Islamic perspective was presented so successfully during this event that the head of the Aryah Samaj for that area said he would next invite a prominent missionary, Ram Chandar, from Delhi to come and debate me. Thus, wherever I had an opportunity to go in Jammu, God Almighty granted victories to the message of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
