FAVOURS OF THE GRACIOUS GOD غَرَّتُكَ أَقْوَالٌ بِغَيْرِ بَصِيرَةٍ سُتِرَتْ عَلَيْكَ حَقِيقَةُ الْأَنْبَاءِ You have been deceived by words that are devoid of enlight- enment The reality of prophecies has been confounded for you. إِنَّ السُّمُومَ لَشَرُّ مَا فِى الْعَالَمِ وَمِنَ السُّمُوْمِ غَوَائِلُ الْأَرَاءِ Poisons are indeed the worst in the world; And among poisons, misguided opinions too are a poison. جَاوَزْتَ بِالتَّكْفِيرِ عَرَصَاتِ التَّقَى أَشَفَقْتَ قَلْبِي أَوْ رَأَيْتَ خَفَائِي By labeling me a disbeliever, you overstepped the bounds of righteousness; Have you cut open my heart, or seen any hidden sin on my part? تَأْتِيكَ آيَاتِي فَتَعْرِفُ وَجُهَهَا فَاصْبِرُ وَلَا تَتْرُكُ طَرِيقَ حَيَاءِ My Signs will come to you, and you will recognise them; So, have patience, and do not abandon the way of modesty. إِنَّ الْمُقَرَّبَ لَا يُضَاعُ بِفِتْنَةٍ وَالْاَجْرُ يُكْتَبُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ بَلَاءِ One who is granted nearness is not wasted with trials; A reward is determined for every calamity he faces. 62
