وهب make thee master or ruler )2145( وَلَّوْا إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ : They sent back or retreated to their people )46:30( كَذَلِكَ نُوَلِّيْ بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضًاً : Thus do We make rulers some of them of others )16:10( أَوْلِيَاءَ : Plural of وَالٍ (5:52) وَلِيٌّ or وَالى : Friend guardian )13:12( عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّى : He frowned and turned aside )0:2( تَوَلّى : When he becomes ruler or is in authority )2:206( مُوَلّى : One who turns his face (act. part from اَوْلٰى (2149) (وَلَّى : More entitled; nearer; having a better right; more regardful or more thoughtful or more considerate. فُلانٌ أَوْلَى بِكَذَا : Such a one is more entitled to such a thing or has a better right or a better title or claim to it or is more deserving or worthy of it or is more competent or fit for it. فَاللَّهُ أَوْلَى بِهِمَا : God is more regardful of them both )4:136(. أَوْلَى بِهَا صِلِيًّا : Most deserving to be burned therein )19:71( النَّبِيُّ أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ : The Prophet is nearer to the believers than their own selves )337( بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَى بِبَعْضٍ : Some of them are nearer to one another )876( اَوْلى : We curse أَوْلَى لَكَ : Woe unto thee )75:35( اَوْلَيَان )Dual form of اَوْلى( : More fitted. اِسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَوْلَيْنِ : Two who were in a better position )5:108( مَوْلًى : Lord or chief; master or owner; son of a paternal uncle; a relation such as a son of a paternal uncle and the like; a freed man whom the emancipator is bound to aid and whose property he inherits if he dies without leaving an heir; a slave; emancipator of a slave; a neighbour; an ally; a friend or helper; a follower; an heir. نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى : An excellent Protector )8:41( وَهُوَ كُلِّ عَلَى مَوْلاهُ : He is a burden to his master )16:77( مَوَالِى )plural of وَلِكُلِّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَالِيَ . (مَوْلَى : To every one We have appointed heirs Your brothers in faith and your : فَاِخْوَانُكُمْ فِى الدِّيْنَ وَمَوَالِيْكُمْ (4:34) ولی friends (33:6). وَنَى ]aor. يَنِي inf. noun وَنيًا[ : He was or became languid, remiss, weak, feeble or faint. وَنَى فِيْهِ : He entered upon a thing languidly or weakly. تَوَانَى فِي الْأَمْرِ : He flagged or was remiss in the affair. وَلَا تَنِيَا فِي ذِكْرِى : And slacken not in remembering Me )20:43(. وَهَبَ aor. يَهَبُ inf. noun وَهَبَ الْمَالَ فُلانًا وَهْبًا : He gave such a one property with or without return or without expectation of 838
