نفی نفق spent much his money so that it became exhausted; he gave alms. أَنْفِقُوْا فِي سَبِيْلِ اللَّهِ : Spend in the cause of Allah )2:125( الَّذِيْنَ يُنْفِقُوْنَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ : Those who spend their wealth )2:263( اَنْفَقَ )aor يُنْفِقُ inf. noun خَشْيَةَ الْإِنْفَاقِ إِنْفَاقُ : For fear of spending )17:101(. النَّفَقُ : A hole in the earth which has a way or passage to get out to a specific place. أَنْ تَبْتَغِىَ نَفَقًا فِي الْأَرْضِ : If thou art able to seek a passage or make a hole in the earth( )6:36( نَافَ : He committed hypocrisy; he changed his creed or opinion; he lied; he blasphemed )نِفَاق and مُنَافَقَةٌ inf. noun اَشَدُّ كُفْرًا وَنِفَاقًا : Are worst in disbelief and hypocrisy )9:97( نَفَقَةٌ )simple substantive from اِنْفَاقُ( : Money spent لا يُنْفِقُوْنَ نَفَقَةً : They spend not any sum )9:121( نَفَقَاتٌ : Plural. أَنْ تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَّفَقَاتُهُمْ : That their contributions may be accepted from them )9:54( مُنَافِقُ )act part. from مُنَافِقِينَ) أَنْفَقَ and مُنَافِقُوْنَ plurals and مُنَافِقَاتٌ feminine of 9:6763:2) (مُنَافِقُوْنَ(. نَفَلَ aor. يَنْقُلُ inf. noun نَفَلَ الرَّجُلُ فُلانًا نَفْلاً : The man gave to such a one a gift for which he expected no return. نَفَلَ الْأَمِيرُ الْجُنْدَ : The Amir allotted the spoils to the army. نَفَلَهُ أَوْ أَنْفَلَهُ النَّفْلَ : He gave him the spoils of war. نَفَلَهُ also means, he gave him more than his due. اَلنَّافِلَةُ )plural( )اَلنَّوَافِلُ( : Spoils of war; a gift or an act performed voluntarily without its being obligatory; a grand child. نَفْلٌ )plural( اَنْفَالٌ( : Spoils of war; a free gift; something additional. اَلنَّفْلُ )plural is اَلنَّوَافِلُ( : An act performed voluntarily without its being obligatory اَنْفَالٌ also means such spoils or gains as come in the form of Divine favour without one having laboured for it or deserved it يَسْتَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْأَنْفَالِ : They ask thee concerning the spoils )82( فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَّكَ : Wake up for it in the latter part of the night as a supererogatory service for thee And We bestowed upon him : وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوْبَ نَافِلَةً (17:80) Isaac and Jacob as a grandson (21:73). نَفَى Or نَفَا ]aor. يَنْفِي inf. noun نَفَاهُ عَنْهُ نَفْيًا : He removed it; he drove it away. He cast the man in the prison. نَفَى الرَّجُلَ مِنْ بَلَدِهِ : He expelled or banished the man from his town and exiled him to another town. نَفَى السَّيْلُ الْغَشَاءَ : The current carried away the 788
