مد المحال or obliterated it or did away with it wholly so that no trace of it was left. يَمْحَقُ اللَّهُ الرِّبوا : Allah will obliterate interest )2:277(. مَحَقَ فُلانًا : He destroyed such a one. وَيَمْحَقَ الْكَافِرِينَ : And He destroy the disbelievers (3:142). الْمِحَالُ Stratagem cunning plan; quarrel; punishment; destruction; artifice. هُوَ شَدِيدُ الْمِحَالِ : He (God) is severe in punishing )13:14(. مَحَنَ ]aor. يَمْحَنُ inf. noun مَحَنَ فُلانًا . [ مَحْنًا : He tried tested, proved such a one. مَحَنَهُ عِشْرِيْنَ سَوْطًا : He beat him with twenty stripes. امْتَحَنَ الله قُلُوْبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوى : God has purified their hearts for righteousness (49:4). مَحَا ]aor. يَمْحُوْ inf. noun مَحَا الشَّيْءَ مَحْوًا : He effaced, erased, cancelled, obliterated the thing or removed its trace or impression. مَحَا الصُّبْحُ اللَّيْلَ : The daybreak dispelled the night. مَعًا : يَمْحُ اللَّهُ الْبَاطِلَ God removed the trace of his sins : اللَّهُ عَنْهُ الذُّنُوبَ God is blotting out the falsehood )42:25( مَحَوْنَا آيَةَ اللَّيْلِ : We have made the sign of the night to pass away (17:13). مَخَرَ ]aor. يَمْخُرُ and يَمْخَرُ inf. noun مَخَرَتِ السَّفِيْنَةُ مَخْرًا : The boat ran through the sea parting the waves. مَخَرَ السَّابِحُ : The swimmer parts the water with his two arms. )مَوَاخِرُ is plural of وَتَرَى . (مَاخِرَةٌ الْفُلْكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِيْهِ : Thou seest the ships ploughing through it (16:15). مَد ]aor. يَمُدُّ inf. noun 1) : مَدًّا( Stretch; (2) spread; (3) extend هُوَ : وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَهَا . He it is Who spread out the earth : الَّذِي مَدَّ الْأَرْضَ And the earth have We spread out )15:20( لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ : Stretch not thy eyes (15:89); (4) grant delay. يَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ : He )God) gives them delay in their transgression )2:16( يَمُدُّوْنَهُمْ فِى الْغَيِّ : Make them continue in error (7:203); (5) come to one's help. أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالِ : Do you mean to help me with your wealth )27:37( . يُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَّبَنِيْنَ : He (God) will strengthen or help you with wealth and sons )71:13( اَمَدَّكُمْ بِأَنْعَامِ : He (God) has helped you with cattle )26:134( مَدًّا : Respite. فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ مَدًّا : The Gracious God gives them long respite or prolongs it (19:76). مَدَدٌ : Help. وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِ مَدَدًا : Though We brought the like لگ 749
