قصر قصد intended or meant it. قَصَدَ فِي الْأَمْرِ أَوِ اقْتَصَدَ مِنْهُ : He pursued a right course in the affair or he followed the middle and most just way in the affair; he acted in moderate manner; he kept within the bounds in the affair or was content with the middle course. قَصَدَ فِي مَشْيهِ : He walked at an equable or a moderate pace. وَاقْصِدْ فِي مَشْيِكَ : And walk thou at a moderate pace )31:20( مُقْتَصِدٌ act part from اِقْتَصَدَ meaning: One who adopts the right or middle course; moderate. مِنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ : Of them are some who adopt the right course. مُقْتَصِدَةٌ )feminine) of قَصَدَ (567) (مُقْتَصِدٌ )ar يَقْصِدُ ( : It (a road or way) was direct or right (inf. noun قَصْدٌ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ قَصْدُ السَّبِيلِ : And upon Allah rests the showing of the right way (16:10); he acted with justice or equity. قَصَدَ also means, he broke a stick or broke it in halves. قَصْدٌ : The aim or course of a person; an object of pursuit or desire; one's intention or meaning; a thing that is right. هُوَ عَلَى قَصْدٍ : He is following a right way or course; he is conforming or conformable to the just mean قَاصِدٌ : Direct or right. طَرِيْقٌ قَاصِدٌ : A right or direct way; an even road. قَاصِدٌ also means near, easy, short. سَفَرًا قَاصِدًا : Easy near short journey )9:42(. قَصْرٌ قَصُرَ ]aor. يَقْصُرُ inf. noun : It was or became short. قَصَرَ عَنِ الْأَمْرِ : He stopped short of doing a thing; he failed or lacked power to do the thing. ثُمَّ لا يُقْصِرُوْنَ : Then they relax not (7:203); he refrained from the thing. قَصَرَهُ and أَقْصَرَهُ : He shortened it. قَصَرَ : أَنْ تَقْصُرُوْا مِنَ الصَّلوةِ He curtailed the Prayer : الصَّلوةَ أَوْ مِنَ الصَّلوةِ That you shorten the Prayer )4:10( قَصَرَهُ : He confined, restricted, limited, withheld or prevented him or it. قَصْرٌ : )plural( قُصُوْرٌ( : Falling short of doing a thing; flagging or remissness; laziness; a palace; a castle; a pavilion; any house or chamber of stone. قَصْرٍ مَّشِيدٍ : Lofty palace; lofty castle )22:46( يَجْعَلْ لَّكَ قُصُوْرًا : And will give thee palaces )25:11( قَصْرٌ also mean large, thick and dry firewood تَرْمِنْ بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ : Throws up sparks like the castles or thick, large dry firewood )77:33( مَقْصُوْرَاتُ مَقْصُوْرَةٌ plural): A woman confined in the house or tent; a woman kept behind the curtain and does not go out; a woman who keeps her eyes restricted to her husband. نَاقَةٌ مَقْصُوْرَةٌ : A she-camel retained 696
