قس قرن of a desert: The most elevated part thereof. الْقَرْنُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : The chief of the people قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَان : Devil's followers or associates; horn. كُمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنْ قَرْنِ : How many a generation We have destroyed before them )384( خَيْرُ الْقُرُوْنِ قَرْنِي : The best of all generations or of all peoples is my generation. أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُوْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ : And We have destroyed the generations before you )10:14( قَرِينٌ : An associate; a comrade; a companion; tribe; husband; a thing, a person, joined to another )قُرَنَاءُ )plural(. فَسَاءَ قَرِينًا : An evil companion is he )4:39( وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَاءَ : And We had assigned to them companions )41:26( قَرَّنَهُ : He collected it or him; he bound him. قُرْنَتِ الْأَسَارَى فِى الْحِبَالِ : The prisoners were bound together with ropes مُقَرَّنِينَ فِي الْأَصْفَادِ : Bound in chains )14:50( قَرْنُ also mean, edge; border of the rising sun; trumpet of last day. اَقْرَنَ لِلْأَمْرِ : He had the power or strength to do the thing or over the affair مُقْرِنٌ is act. part. and مُقْرِنِينَ is plural. وَ مَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ : And we had not the strength to subdue it ourselves )43:14( إِقْتَرَنَ الشَّيْءَ بِغَيْرِهِ : He linked and conjoined the thing with the other. جَاءَ مَعَهُ الْمَلائِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ : The angels accompanied him in serried (close) ranks )43:54( ذِي الْقَرْنَيْنِ : Having two horns; title of Cyrus of Persia (18:84) being the king of Media and Persia. قَرَى ]aor. يَقْرِى inf. noun قَرَى الضَّيْفَ قِرَى : He entertained the guest. : قَرَى الْجُرْحُ . He collected the water in the tank : قَرَى الْمَاءَ فِي الْحَوْضِ The wound burst قَرَى الْبَلادَ : He travelled through the towns or from land to land. قَرْيَةٌ : A village a town; a small town smaller than a مَدِينَةٌ ; also a big town )اَلْمِصْرُ الْجَامِعُ( : the people or inhabitants or residents of a town; a party or group; estate. الْقَرْيَتَانِ : Mecca and Taif. مَرَّ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ : He passed by a town Ask the people of the town : وَسْئَلِ الْقَرْيَةَ الَّتِي كُنَّا فِيهَا . (2:260) wherein we were( )128( اَلْقُرى )plural): Towns or peoples of the towns. ذَلِكَ مِنْ اَنْبَاءِ الْقُرْى : These are the tidings of the town (01:111:111: The food that is placed before a guest. قَسٌ aor. يَقُسٌ inf. noun قَسَّ الشَّيْءَ قَسٌ : He sought after or pursued the thing and did so repeatedly or by degrees and leisurely . تَقَسٌ 692
