فطر فطر other )4:22( أَفْضَى إِلَى إِمْرَاتِهِ : He was or became alone with his wife in private; he went in to his wife or became in contact with her skin to skin; he compressed his wife. أَفْضَيْتُ إِلَيْهِ بِالسِّرِّ : I acquainted him with the secret. 28 فَطَرَ ]aor يَفْطُرُ and يَفْطِرُ inf. noun فَطْرٌ and فَطَرَ فُطُوْرٌ ]aor يَفْطُرُ[ : It came forth; it clave the flesh and came forth. فَطَرَهُ : He clove split, rent or cracked it فَطُوْرٌ : Cleft, fissure i. e. flaw, fault, disorder; فَطَرَ اللَّهُ : He (God) created it or produced it or brought it for the first time, it not having existed before; He originated it; He commenced or began it. Ibn Abbas says that he did not know the meaning of فَاطِرُ السَّمَواتِ until two Arabs of the desert came to him disputing respecting the mastery of a well, and one of them said: اَنَا فَطَرْتُهَا i. e. I originated or began it. فَطَرَ الْعَجِيْنَ : He made the dough into bread or baked it, without leavening it; he kneaded the dough and made it into bread or baked it immediately; he prepared the dough hastily so as to prevent its becoming mature. إِلَّا الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي : But Him Who has created me )43:28( فَطَرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ : Who created or originated the heavens and the earth )6:80( هَلْ تَرَى مِنْ فُطُوْر : Dost thou see any flaw )674( فِطْرَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا : The nature in which Allah has created mankind )30:31( )فَاطِ act part( فَاطِرِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ : The Maker, Originator, Creator of the heavens and the earth )6:15( فِطْرَةٌ : Creation i. e. to cause a thing to exist; to produce or bring it into existence for the first time; to originate it; the natural constitution with which a child is created i. e. خِلْقَةٌ . The Holy Prophet is reported to have said كُلُّ مَوْلُوْدٍ يُوْلَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ : لک Every child is born in a state of conformity with true nature (Hadith); nature; or natural, native, innate, or original disposition; hence the religion of Islam or simply religion, also سُنة ie the way course, mode or manner of conduct or acting pursued and prescribed to be followed by the Holy Prophet; according to some, the covenant received or accepted from Adam and his posterity )7:173;30:31( اِنْفَطَرَ and تفَطَّرَ : It became split, cleft, slit, rent or cracked. إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ : When the heaven is cleft asunder )822( تَكَادُ السَّمَوتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ : The heaven, 657 لک
