غرم غرق الْغُرْفَةَ : They will be rewarded a high place (in Paradise( )25:76(. غُرْفَةٌ also means, a lock of hair. غَرِقَ ]aor. يَغْرَقُ inf. noun غَرَقُ[ : He or it sank or was drowned; he was or became without want or need اَغْرَقَهُ فِى الْمَاءِ : He drowned him or sank him or it in water أَغْرَقَهُ النَّاسُ : The people multiplied against him and overcame him. اَغْرَقَ الْكَأْسَ : He filled the wine-cup. أَغْرَقَ فِي الْقَوْسِ : He drew the bow to the full الْإِغْرَاقُ signifies the sending of the arrow far by vehement drawing of the bow أَغْرَقَ النَّبْلَ : He drew the bow with the arrows to the utmost extent. أَغْرَقَ فِى الشَّيْءِ : He exceeds the usual bounds or exerted himself to the utmost in the thing. وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا : By the beings that exert themselves vigorously in drawing out (79:2).
