عشا عشر kindness )4:20( عَشِيْرَةٌ : Kinfolk or nearest relations or kin by descent from the same father or ancestor; a small sub-tribe; a small portion or smallest subdivision of a tribe, or a tribe (syn. اَنْذِرْ عَشِيْرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ . قَبِيلَةٌ : Warn thy nearest kinsmen )26:215(. مَعْشَرٌ : A company, a great company or collective body of people, consisting of men, exclusive of women like نَفَرٌ and قَوْمٌ and رَهْطٌ having no proper singular; a community; any company whose state of circumstances is one. يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ : company of jinn and men )6:131( عُشَرَاءُ : A she-camel that has been ten months pregnant or that has been eight months pregnant. Its plural is عِشَارٌ and عِشَارٌ is applied to she-camels until some of them have brought forth and others are expected to bring forth وَإِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِلَتْ : And when the she-camels ten month pregnant are abandoned )815( عَشِيرٌ : An associate; a husband; a wife; a friend. وَلَبِئْسَ الْعَشِيرُ : And evil indeed is the associate (22:14). عَشَا ]aor. يَعْشُوْ inf. noun عَشْرٌ and عَشَا عَنْهُ عُشُوٌّ : He turned away from him or it to another. وَمَنْ يَّعْشُ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ : And who turns away from the remembrance of the Gracious God )43:37( عَشَوْتُهُ أَوْ إِلَيْهِ : I repaired to him by night. عَشَااَ الْإِبل : He pastured the camels by night. عَشَ النَّارَ أَوْ إِلَيْهَا : He betook himself towards the fire hoping to obtain thereby guidance and good عَشِىَ aor. يَعْشَى( : He was or became blind or he was or became weak-sighted, or he did not see by night but saw by day. عَشًا : Weakness of sight or sightlessness by night. عَشَاءٌ also means the evening meal. عِشَاءُ : The beginning of the darkness of night; from sunset to darkness of night. It is syn with عَشِيٌّ )or from the declining of the sun from the meridian to the rising of the dawn(. وَجَاءُوا أَبَاهُمْ عِشَاءً يَّبْكُوْنَ : And they came to their father in the evening weeping )12:17( عَشِيَّ : The late part of evening or the evening or the afternoon (as also عَشِيَّةٌ or time between the declining of the sun from the meridian to the rising of the dawn. Sometimes it means the night. أَتَيْتُهُ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيّ : I came to him early in the morning and late in the evening. صَلاةُ الْعَشِيِّ : The two Prayers of the afternoon i. e. ظُهْرٌ and وَسَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ عَصْرٌ 573 28
