ضنک ضم یک لگ from ضَلَّ ضَلَّ also means, lost in love or wandering, in search or persevering in search وَجَدَكَ ضَالَّاً فَهَدَى : He (God) found thee going perseveringly in search of guidance, so He guided thee )93:8( ضَالُّوْنَ and ضَالَّيْنَ )plurals( )3:1:1:7(. ضَمَّ ]aor. يَضُمُّ inf. noun ضَمَّ الشَّيْءَ [ضَمُّ : He collected the thing ضَمَّ الشَّيْءَ إِلَيْهِ : He joined the thing or drew the thing to him ضَمَمْتُهُ إلى صَدْرِى : I drew or pressed him to my bosom ضَمَّ عَلَى الشَّيْءِ : He grasped the thing. اللَّهُمَّ اضْهُمْ أَمْرِى : O God, compose my disorganized affairs. وَاضْمُمْ يَدَكَ إِلَى جَنَاحِكَ : And press thy hand to thy side (20:23). وو 28 ضَمَرَ and ضَمُرَ ]aor. يَضْمُرُ inf. noun ضُمُورٌ[ : He (a horse or camel) was or became lean or slender and lank in the body. ضَامِرٌ and ضَامِرَةٌ : Applied to a she-camel: Lean and lank in the body applied to a he-camel and to a horse and to a man: Lean, thin and lank in the body )ضَوَامِ plural(. ضَامِرٌ also means, a horse in a state of preparation for racing by his having been fed with food barely sufficient to sustain him after having been fat. خَيْلٌ ضَامِرَةٌ and ضَوَامِرُ : Horses in the state described above. ( عَلَى كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ : On every lean camel )22:28(. لگ : [ بَهِ أَوْ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ عَنْهُ ] ضَنِنْتُ and ضَنَنْتُ رَضِنًّا and ضَنًّا inf. noun يَضَنُّ . aor] ضَنَّ He was or became niggardly, tenacious, stingy or avaricious of it. ضَنَّ عَلَيْهِ بِكَذَا : He was niggardly to him of such a thing. ضَنِينٌ بِشَيْءٍ أَوْ بِشَيْءٍ نَفِيْسٍ : Niggardly, tenacious, stingy or avaricious of a thing or of a good thing. عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِيْنِ : Niggardly with respect to the unseen )81:25( ضَنَنْتُ بِالْمَكَانِ : I kept tenaciously to the place and did not leave it. 28 ضَنُكَ ]aor. يَضْئُكُ inf. noun ضِنْفٌ and ضَنُوْكَةٌ and ضَنَاكَةٌ [ : It was or became narrow or strait. ضَنُكَ عَقْلُهُ أَوْرَأَيُّهُ أَوْ جَسَدُهُ : His judgement, body or intellect became weak. ضَنْكٌ : Narrowness or straitness and hardship; raw and hard مَكَانٌ ضَنْلٌ : A narrow place. عَيْشُ صَنْكَ : A strait and hard life, sustenance or means of sustenance. فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنْكًا : His will be a strait and hard life (20:125). 510
