صنم signifies, he offered it. اِصْطَبَعَ فُلانٌ means, such a one made or prepared a feast or banquet or food to which to invite friends or to be given in the way of God. اِصْطَفَعَ خَاتَمًا : He ordered that a signet-ring should be made for him. اِصْطَنَعَ عِنْدَهُ صَنِيْعَةَ : He did him a favour. صَنْعَاءُ : A town in Yemen. هُوَ صَنِيْعَتِي : I have brought him up and reared him and chosen him for a good purpose. صَنَّمَ ]aor. يُصَنِّمُ inf. noun تَصْنِيمٌ[ : He formed fashioned, figured, shaped, sculptured or pictured. صَنَمٌ : An idol a وَثَنْ )idol); any thing worshipped beside God.
