سخط سدر سَخِطَ ]aor. يَسْخَطُ inf. noun سَخِطَ الرَّجُلَ أَوْ عَلَيْهِ سَخَطٌ : He was or became angry with the man or showed his dislike or discontent. سَخَطَ الشَّيْءَ : He disliked or disapproved of the thing. أَنْ سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ : With the result that Allah is displeased with them )5:81( إِذَا هُمْ يَسْخَطُوْنَ : Behold, they are discontented )9:58( اَسْخَطَهُ : He displeased or angered him; he made him angry إِتَّبَعُوْا مَا أَسْخَطَ الله : They followed that which displeased Allah )47:29( سَخَطٌ and سُخْطٌ : Displeasure; dislike; anger; disapprobation. بَاءَ بِسَخَطِ مِّنَ الله : Who has drawn upon himself the displeasure of God (3:163). سد ]aor. يَسُدُّ inf. noun سَدٌ and سَدَّ سَدَدٌ : He closed up an interstice or intervening space; he stopped or repaired and made firm and strong. سَدَّ الْأَفْقَ : It obstructed the horizon. يَسُدُّ الرَّمَقَ : It maintains and preserves the strength سَدَّ الْبَابَ : He closed the door. سَدٌ : Adam; a fence; a barrier; a fault or defect such as blindness, deafness and dumbness; shade or shadow; cover or protection; an obstacle or obstruction between two other things; a mountain. ضُرِبَ بَيْنَهُمَا سَدٌ : Barrier was set between them. بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا : Between us and them a barrier )1895( سَدَّ )aor. يَسَدُّ and يَسِدُّ inf. noun سَدَادًا ( : It or he was or became right; it took a right direction; he hit the right thing. إِنَّهُ يَسِدُّ فِي الْقَوْلِ : He hits the right thing in the saying or he says the right thing. سَدَّهُ : He accused him of a fault as though thereby he stopped his mouth. سَدِيد : Applied to a spear or arrow, means seldom missing; that hits the mark; when applied to an action, saying or affair signifies, right, direct; taking a right direction; when applied to a man, means, who pursues a right course or who hits the right thing in his action or saying. قُوْلُوْا قَوْلاً سَدِيدًا : Say the right word (33:71) سَدِرَ ]aor. يَسْدَرُ inf. noun سَدَرٌ and سَدَرَ سَدَارٌ : He became dazzled by a thing at which he looked so that he turned away his face from it; he became confounded or perplexed and unable to see his right course. سِدْرٌ : Lote-tree. مِنْ سِدْرٍ قَلِيْلٍ : A few lotetrees )34:17(. عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى : Near the farthest Lote-tree )53:15( سَدِرٌ : Sea 388
