سحل سحر skilful or intelligent. لَهَا عَيْنٌ سَاحِرَةٌ : She has a fascinating or enchanting eye. سَحَارٌ is syn with سَاحِرٌ but with an intensive sense or denoting habit or frequency . بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيْمٍ : With every skilful sorcerer )26:38( سَحَّارُوْنَ )plural of سَحَرَ سَحَّاَرٌ aor. يَسْحَرُ ( : He went forth early in the morning, in the first part of the day, or between the time of morning Prayer and sunrise. سَحْرٌ : Time before daybreak; early dawn; or the last part of the night. اتَّيْتُهُ بِسَحَرٍ : I came to him a little before daybreak; whiteness overspreading darkness; the extremity. نَجَّيْنَهُمْ بِسَحَرٍ : We delivered them by early dawn )54:35( اَسْحَارٌ )plural of سَحَرٌ وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِالْأَسْحَارِ : Who seek the forgiveness of God in the latter part of the night or at early dawn or in the watches of the night )3:18( مَسْحُوْرٌ )pass. part. ( رَجُلاً مَّسْحُوْرًا : A bewitched man; a man who is a victim of deception )17:48( مَسْحُوْرُوْنَ )plural(. بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُوْرُوْنَ : Rather we are a bewitched people )15:16(. مُسَحَّرٌ : One bewitched, syn. with مَسْحُورٌ but with an intensive sense. مُسَخَّرِينَ )plural of إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ مُسَحَّرٌ : Thou art but one of the bewitched (26:154). سَحَقَ ]aor. يَسْحَقُ and يَسْحُقُ inf. noun سَحَقَ سُحْقٌ and سَحُقَ : It was or became distant or remote سَحَقَهُ اللهُ : May God alienate him or estrange him from food or prosperity, or curse him. سَحُقَ الثَّوْبُ )سَحْقًا( : The cloth became old and worn-out. سَحُقَ aor. يَسْحُقُ inf noun سَحُوْقَةٌ( : He bruised or pounded it or powdered or pulverized it. سَحَقَهُ مَرُّ الزَّمَانِ : The course of time rendered it (the garment) worn-out. سَحَقَهُ : He destroyed it. سَحَقَتِ الْعَيْنُ دَمْعَهَا : The eye shed tears. سَحَقَ رَأْسَهُ : He shaved his head. فَسُحْقًا لِأَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ : So cursed be the inmates of the blazing Fire, or be far away from the mercy of God )67:12( سَحِيْقٌ : Pounded, pulverized; distant remote. إِنَّهُ لَبَعِيْدٌ سَحِيقٌ : Verily, it is very distant or remote. فِي مَكَانٍ سَحِيقٍ : To a distant place )22:32(. سَحَلَ ]aor يَسْحَلُ inf noun سَحَلَهُ سَحْلٌ : He pared it; peeled it; or stripped off, rubbed off, abraded or otherwise removed its outer covering. الرِّيَاحُ تَسْحَلُ الْأَرْضَ : The winds strip off or remove what is upon the earth. سَحَلَ الثَّيَابَ : He washed the clothes and 386
