خلد وَأَخْفَى : He (God) knows the secret and what is more hidden )208( حَافِيَةٌ : A secret thing a secret. لا تَخْفَى مِنْكُمْ خَافِيَّةٌ : No secret of yours will remain hidden (69:19). وس لک و یک ]aor. يَخُلُّ inf. noun خَلَّ لَحْمُهُ خَلٌ : He became lean and spare. حَلَّ الشَّيْءَ : He pierced the thing and made a hole in it. خَلَّ فِي دُعَائِهِ : He particularized some persons or things in his prayer. خل also means, he was or became poor or in want or need. خَالَّهُ )inf nouns خلة and خلال( : He acted with him as a friend or as a true or sincere friend. خلة : True or sincere or chaste friendship, love or affection; friend [and also خَلّةٌ and هِيَ خُلَّتِي : خِلَّةٌ : She is my friend]; ease, repose, freedom from trouble or inconvenience; tranquility; ampleness of circumstances; acid or sour. لا بَيْعٌ فِيْهِ وَلَا خُلَّةٌ : Wherein there shall be no buying or selling nor friendship )2:55( خِلال : An intervening space or gap between two things; a wooden pin with which one pins a garment; a toothpick; befriending or making of friends; friendships (being plural of خُلّةٌ( ; around or midst. لا بَيْعٌ فِيْهِ وَلا خِلال : There will be neither traffick nor befriending or friendships )14:32( خِلالُ الدَّارِ signifies what is around the limits of the house or around the walls thereof. وَجَعَلَ خِلالَهَا أَنْهَارًا : And placed rivers in its midst )27:62( جُسْنَا خَلَالَ بُيُوتِ الْحَيِّ : We went 28 28 28 round about or amid or the middle of the tents or houses of the tribe. فَجَاسُوْا خِلَالَ الدِّيَارِ : They went into or through or penetrated the innermost parts of your houses )176( خِلالٌ : Also means a long thorn or prickle خَلِيْلٌ : A friend; a true or sincere friend; a special or particular friend; veracious; one who is pure and sound in friendship or love; poor; needy, in want; one who advises or counsels or acts sincerely, honestly or faithfully. الْخَلِيْلُ also signifies the heart; the liver; the nose; the sword; the و And Allah : وَاتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيْلاً : (plural) خُلَّانُ and الْآخِلَّاءُ ) ,spear took Abraham for a special friend )4:126( الْآخِلَّاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ : friends on that day will be foes to each other )43:68(. خل خَلَّ He : خَلَدَ بِالْمَكَانِ أَوْ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ خُلْدٌ and خُلُوْدٌ inf. noun يَخْلُدُ aor خَلَدَ remained, stayed, welt(); or he remained, stayed or dwelt 241
