خذل ه The rain became little خَدَعَ الرَّجُلُ : The property or wealth of the man became little and he refrained from giving خَدَعَ الشَّيْءُ : The thing became corrupt خَدَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ : The sun set. خَدَعَتِ الْمُوْرُ : The affairs became variable. خَادَعَهُ : He deceived him being deceived by him; he strove, endeavoured or desired to deceive, delude beguile etc. him; he pretended to him something different from that which was in his mind. دَهْرٌ خَادِعُ : Deceitful or variable time or fortune. سُوْقٌ خَادِعَةٌ : A varying or variable market, at one time brisk, at another time dull خَادَعَ is syn. with خَدَعَ with this difference that whereas one says of a man خَادَ when he has not attained his desire and خَدَعَ when he : يُخَادِعُوْنَ اللَّهَ وَالَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوْا وَمَا يَخْدَعُوْنَ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهُمْ has attained his desire خدع They would deceive Allah or those who believe, and they deceive none but themselves, only they perceive it not (2:10). يُخَادِعُوْنَ اللَّهَ : They strive, endeavour or desire to deceive Allah; وَهُوَ خَادِعُهُمْ : And He will punish them for their deception (act. part. ): Deceiver; requiter. 28 خَدَنَ Or خَادَنَ ]aor. يُخَادِنُ inf. noun خَادَنَهُ مُخَادَنَةٌ : He became his friend or secret or private friend; he associated or kept company with him. مُخَادَنَةٌ also signifies the contracting of the eyes in holding amatory and enticing talk or conversation with another, the latter doing the same. اَخْدَانُ ) خِدْنٌ plural): A friend or a secret or private friend; a companion or an associate; an associate affected with sensual appetency. خِدْنُ الْجَارِيَةِ : The friend etc. of the girl. وَلا مُتَّخِذِي أَخْدَانِ : Not taking secret paramours )56( ولا مُتَّخِذَتِ أَخْدَانِ : Nor taking secret paramours )4:26(. He : خَذَلَ فُلانًا وَعَنْهُ [خِذْلانٌ and خَذْلانٌ and خَزْلٌ inf. noun يَخْذُلُ . aor] خَذَلَ abstained from or gave up or neglected aiding or assisting him and held back from him. خَذَلَهُ means, he left, forsook or deserted him. وَإِنْ يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَنْصُرُكُمْ : But if He forsakes you, then who can help you )3:16( خَذِ : One who abstains from, or gives up or neglects the rendering of aid; anyone leaving, forsaking or deserting; one routed, defeated or put to flight.
