حمل So they refused to bear it : فَأَبَيْنَ أَنْ يَحْمِلْنَهَا وَأَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا الْإِنْسَانُ or accept its responsibility; or refused to be unfaithful to it, so man bore its responsibility or refused to be unfaithful to it )33:73( لاتَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا : Do not make us carry for what we have not the strength, or burden us not with what we have not the strength to bear )2:287( حَمَّلَهُ ذَنْبًا : He charged him with a crime. إِحْتَمَلَ الشَّيْءَ : He carried or did the thing. إِحْتَمَلَ بُهْتَانًا : He bears the burden of a calumny )4:113( حَمْلٌ )plural( أَحْمَالٌ )and حُمُوْلٌ( : The young that is in the womb; the fruit of a tree = حِمْلٌ meaning 28 وَأُولاتُ الْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَنْ يَضَعْنَ . حُمُوْلَةٌ and أَحْمَالٌ load, burden (plural 28 و 28 حَمْلَهُنَّ : And as for those who are with child, their period shall be that they are delivered of their burden )655( حَمَلَتْ حَمْلًا خَفِيْفًا : She bears a light burden )7:190( وَلِمَنْ جَاءَ بِهِ حِمْلُ بَعِيْرٍ : And whoso brings it shall have a camel-load )12:73( وَسَاءَ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حِمْلاً : And evil will be their burden on the Day of Resurrection. وَ إِنْ تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ إِلَى حِمْلِهَا : And if a heavily-laden soul call another to carry its load )35:19( حَمْلٌ and حِمْلٌ are syn. but whereas the former signifies the thing that is in a belly or on the head of a tree, the latter signifies a thing borne or carried on the back (i. e. a load, or burden) or on the head; the former signifying a burden that is borne internally as the young in the belly and the water in the clouds and fruit on the tree as being likened to the حَمَلٌ of a woman, the latter a burden that is borne externally, as the thing that is borne on the back or when applied to fruit the former signifies a fruit that is internal or is large and much and the latter a fruit that is external and is not much. حَامِلٌ )plural حَامِلُوْنَ or حَامِلِيْنَ ( : One who carries. وَمَا هُمْ بِحَامِلِيْنَ : And they cannot bear it )29:13( حَمَلَةٌ is also plural of حَمَلَةُ الْعَرْشِ حَامِلٌ : The carriers or bearers of the Throne. حَمَلَةُ الْقُرْآنِ : The memorizers of the Holy Qur'an or those who carry the Holy Qur'an in their memory. حَامِلَةٌ is feminine and plural is حَامِلا فَالْحَامِلاتِ وِقْرًا : Then by the bearers or carriers of the load )51:3(. امْرَأَةٌ حَامِلَّ أَوْ حَامِلَةٌ : A pregnant woman. burden. وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ حَمُوْلَةً وَّفَرْشًا : And of cattle (He has created( some for burden and some for slaughter (6:143).
