حلى حلقم and applies to any subject حَلَّقَ الْقَمَرُ : The moon had a halo round it. تَحَلَّقُوْا : They sat in circles. وَلا تَحْلِقُوْا رُءُ وْسَكُمْ : And do not shave your heads )2:197( مُحَلِّقِينَ رُءُ وْسَكُمْ : Having their heads shaven (48:28). : The حَلْقَمَهُ حَلْقَمَ : He cut or severed his حُلْقُوْمٌ i. e. windpipe. حُلْقُوْمٌ windpipe or passage of the breath. حَلاقِيمُ الْبَلادِ : The confined or extreme parts of the country. فَلَوْلا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُوْمَ : Why then when it reaches the throat (56:84). حَلَمَ ]aor. يَحْلُمُ inf. noun حَلَمَ فِي نَوْمِهِ حُلُمٌ and حُلْمٌ : He saw a dream or vision in his sleep. حَلَمَ به : He saw a dream of it; he saw it in sleep. حَلَمَ بِالْمَرْأَةِ : He dreamed in sleep that he was compressing the woman. حَلَمَ الصَّبِيُّ أَوْ إِحْتَلَمَ : The boy attained to puberty or virility. حَلُمَ )inf. noun حِلْمٌ( : He was or became forbearing; he forgave and concealed offences; he was or became moderate, gentle, patient and intelligent. حَلُمَ عَنْهُ : He treated him with forbearance and clemency. حُلْمٌ and حُلُمٌ )plural أحلام( : A dream or vision in sleep. Syn. with رُؤْيَا but specially as is evil. )Tradition( الرُّؤْيَا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَالْحُلْمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ : The رُؤْيَا is from God and حُلْمٌ is from Satan. أَضْغَاتُ اَحْلامٍ : Confused or evil dreams. وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَأْوِيلِ الْأَحْلَامِ بِعَلِمِينَ : And we do not know the interpretation of such dreams )12:45( حُلُمٌ : Puberty . وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الْأَطْفَالُ مِنْكُمُ الْحُلُمَ : And when the children among you attain to puberty )24:60( حِلْمٌ ) أحلام plural) : Forbearance, patience, moderation; intelligence. أَضْرَاسُ الْحِلْمِ means أَضْرَاسُ الْعَقْلِ ie the wisdom - teeth. أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُمْ بِهَذَا : Do their reason and intellect enjoin this upon them 28 : حَلِيمٌ . Persons of understanding : اُولُوا الأَحْلامِ (52:33) Forbearing; clement; wise and intelligent. اَلْحَلِيْمُ is one of the attributes of God. وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ : And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Forbearing )2:226( فَبَشَّرْنَهُ بِغُلامٍ حَلِيمٍ : And We gave him the tidings of a forbearing son (37:102). حَلَى ]aor. يَحْلِي inf. noun حَلَيْتُ الْمَرْأَةَ حَلْيًا : I gave ornaments to the woman. حَلِيَتْ or تَحَلَّتْ : She acquired or wore an ornament or ornaments or she made for herself an ornament or adorned herself with an ornament, or the former word may mean: she 200
