حدث حدب )33:20( حَادَّهُ أَوْحَادَدَهُ : He was or became his enemy; he was or became angry or enraged with him يُوَادُّوْنَ مَنْ حَادَّ الله : They love those who oppose Allah )58:23( إِنَّهُ مَنْ يُحَادِدِ الله : Verily he opposes Allah (9:63). حَدِبَ ]aor. يَحْدَبُ inf. noun حَدِبَ الرَّجُلُ حَدَبٌ : The man was or became hump backed; he had a protuberant back and a hollow or receding chest and belly; it was or became protuberant. It rose or grew up or out, high i. e. it became convex. حَدِبَ عَلَيْهِ : He was or became affectionate to him. حَدَبَ عَنْهُ : He defended him. حَدَبٌ : High or elevated ground حَدَبٌ مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ : Rugged or high ground. حَدَبُ الْمَاءِ : The elevated waves of water; the rolling of water in waves: حَدَبٌ also means, a slope in a declivity; a swelling produced by beating upon the skin; the intenseness of the cold of water. وَهُمْ مِّنْ كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنْسِلُوْنَ : They will come forth from every elevated ground (21:97). حَدَثَ ]aor. يَحْدُثُ inf. noun حُدُوثًا and حَدَثَةُ[ : It was new or recent, it (a thing) came into existence; it began to be; it had a beginning; it originated; it existed newly for the first time, not having been before. When the word is mentioned with قدم it is written حَدَّثَ as in the saying أَخَذَنِي مَا قَدُمَ وَمَا حَدُتَ : Old and new ideas and anxieties came into my mind. أَحْدَثَهُ : He (God) brought it into existence; originated it; invented it; innovated it; He talked of it. أَحْدَثَ حَدَثًا : He originated an innovation. حَتَّى أُحْدِتَ لَكَ مِنْهُ ذِكْرًا : Till I speak to thee concerning it; or should tell thee about it That Allah may bring about an : لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يُحْدِثُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَمْرًا . (18:71) event )652( تَحَدَّثَ أَوْ تَحَدَّتَ بِهِ : He talked of it, related it; he told it. اتَّحَدِّثُوْنَهُمْ بِمَا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ : Do you talk to them of what Allah has disclosed to you )277( وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّتْ : And of the favour of God you talk or proclaim )3:12( حَدَثُ : A novelty or new thing; an innovation; a thing not known before. أَمْرٌ مُحْدَتُ : An innovation. مُحْدَثَاتُ الْأُمُورِ : Innovations; new things. حَدِيثٌ : A piece of information; news or tidings; a story or narration; a thing; an account; an information; a discourse; a tradition or saying of the Holy Prophet or simply a saying; a thing talked of 168
