righteousness of the Holy Prophet himself who had predicted it. This manifestation attracted the attention of many truth loving people to Hazrat Ahmad and several of them joined his Movement under its impact. As the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement claimed, inter alia, that he was a spiritual reflection of the Holy Prophet, it would be relevant to test his claim by some of the standards that have been laid down in the Quran as guides for determining the truth of the Holy Prophet. One of these is: 'Had God so willed, I would not have recited the Quran to you nor would He have made it known to you. I have spent a whole lifetime among you before this. Will you not then understand?? (Yunus, 10:17) This meant that God Almighty invited the attention of those who questioned the truth of the Holy Prophet to his life before the divine call came to him. He had led an absolutely blameless and pure life and had never been guilty of a single falsehood, so much so that his contemporaries had bestowed upon him the title of Al-Ameen, meaning, the one trustworthy. Such a one who had never uttered a lie against man would not suddenly start manufacturing lics against God and claiming that God spoke to him if in fact He did not speak to him.
