  • First Speech: Blessings of Khilafat

  • 8

And removed from thee thy burden

  • 8

Which had well nigh broken thy back,

  • 9

    يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ

    who recites to them His Signs, and purifies them and teaches them the Book and Wisdom;

  • 16

Allah has decreed: ‘Most surely I will prevail, I and My Messengers.’

  • 18

and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security

  • 30

but since Thou didst cause me to die, Thou hast been the Watcher over them.

  • 57

Say to the disbelievers: ‘But for your prayer to Him my Lord would not care for you.

  • 72

They ask thee concerning wine and the game of hazard. Say: ‘In both there is great sin and also some advantages for men; but their sin is greater than their advantage.’

  • 90

And We have, indeed, given thee the seven oft-repeated verses, and the Great Qur’an.

  • 90

Stretch not thy eyes towards what We have bestowed on some classes of them to enjoy for a short time, and grieve not over them; and lower thy wing of mercy for the believers.

  • 91

Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not.

  • 101

O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female; and We have made you into tribes and sub-tribes that you may recognize one another. Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you. Surely, Allah is All-knowing, All-Aware.

  • 102

We have made you into tribes and sub-tribes.

  • 103

Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you.

  • 104

The adulterer (or fornicator) shall not marry but an adulteress (or fornicatress) or an idolatrous woman, and an adulteress (or fornicatress) shall not marry but an adulterer (or fornicator) or an idolatrous man. That indeed is forbidden to the believers.

  • 109

Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you.

  • 120

Take alms out of their wealth, so that thou mayest cleanse them and purify them thereby. And pray for them; thy prayer is indeed a source of tranquillity for them. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

  • 130

f you suffer, they too suffer even as you suffer. But you hope from Allah what they hope not.

  • Second Speech: Objects of Human Life

  • 133

Allah — there is no God but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that will intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases. His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth; and the care of them burdens Him not; and He is the High, the Great.

  • 143

    لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ فِيٓ أَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِيمٖ

    Surely, We have created man in the best make;

  • 145

Allah — there is no God but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep. To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that will intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases. His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth; and the care of them burdens Him not; and He is the High, the Great.

  • 146

Allah — there is no God but He,

  • 147

Allah — there is no God but He.

  • 148

the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining.

  • 149

Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep.

  • 150

To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that will intercede with Him except by His permission?

  • 151

    يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ

    He knows what is before them and what is behind them;

  • 153

and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases.

  • 154

and He is the High, the Great.

  • 163

As often as their skins are burnt up, We shall give them in exchange other skins that they may taste the punishment.

  • 165

To all We render aid — both to these and those — a gift from thy Lord. And the gift of thy Lord is not restricted.

  • 166

approach not Prayer when you are not in full possession of your senses, until you know what you say

  • 168

Then your hearts became hardened after that, till they were like stones or harder still; for of stones indeed there are some out of which gush forth streams, and of them there are some out of which flows water when they cleave asunder. And indeed, of them there are some that humble themselves for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what you do.

  • 170

And if you invite them to guidance, they hear not. And thou seest them looking towards thee, but they see not.

  • 171

They have hearts but they understand not therewith, and they have eyes but they see not therewith, and they have ears but they hear not therewith. They are like cattle; nay, they are even more astray. They are indeed quite heedless.

  • 172

As to those who are righteous, when a suggestion from Satan assails them, they remember God: and behold! they begin to see things rightly.

  • 173

Is he, then, who knows that what has been revealed to thee from thy Lord is the truth, like one who is blind? But only those gifted with understanding will reflect:

  • 173

    ٱلَّذِينَ يُوفُونَ بِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَنقُضُونَ ٱلۡمِيثَٰقَ

    Those who fulfil Allah’s pact, and break not the covenant;

  • 173

    وَٱلَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُمۡ وَيَخَافُونَ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡحِسَابِ

    And those who join what Allah has commanded to be joined, and fear their Lord, and dread the evil reckoning;

  • 173

And those who persevere in seeking the favour of their Lord, and observe Prayer, and spend out of that with which We have provided them, secretly and openly, and repel evil with good. It is these who shall have the best reward of the final Abode —

  • 173

Gardens of Eternity. They shall enter them and also those who are righteous from among their fathers, and their wives and their children. And angels shall enter unto them from every gate, saying:

  • 173

‘Peace be unto you, because you were steadfast; behold how excellent is the reward of the final Abode!’

  • 176

Nay, whoever submits himself completely to Allah, and is the doer of good, shall have his reward with his Lord. No fear shall come upon such, neither shall they grieve.

  • 176

‘I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds.’

  • 178

then We clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed it into another creation.

  • 178

Verily, Allah has conferred a favour on the believers by raising among them a Messenger from among themselves, who recites to them His Signs, and purifies them and teaches them the Book and Wisdom; and, before that, they were surely in manifest error.

  • 179

Nor does he speak out of his own desire.

  • 179

It is nothing but pure revelation that has been revealed by God.

  • 182

And as for those who strive in Our path — We will surely guide them in Our ways.

  • 185

    يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ ذِكۡرٗا كَثِيرٗا

    O ye who believe! remember Allah with much remembrance;

  • 185

And glorify Him morning and evening.

  • 185

He it is Who sends blessings on you, as do His angels, that He may bring you forth from all kinds of darkness into light. And He is Merciful to the believers.

  • 185

Their greeting on the day when they meet Him will be, ‘Peace.’ And He has prepared for them an honourable reward.
