468 BARĀHIN-E-AHMADIYYA - PART FIVE I will exalt you to Myself and cause you to die']. They seem to imply that God made a mistake in giving precedence to متوفّيك ]I will cause you to die] over رافعك I will exalt you to Myself] and saying يا عيسى انى متوفيك و رافعك الى ] Jesus, I will cause you to die and exalt you towards Myself'] whereas He should have said يا عيسى أنّي رافعك الى و متوفيك ]Ὁ Jesus, I will exalt you towards Myself and cause you to die']. Alas, what a terrible thing bigotry is that in order to support it they distort the Book of Allah! This act of distortion is the same vile act that led the Jews to be called accursed and their features to be defaced. And now these people are ready to distort the Holy Quran! And had there not been the promise: إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَ إِنَّا لَهُ لَحْفِظُونَ ) it would not be beyond them to change the verse of the Holy Quran إنّى متوفيك و رافعك إلى ]I will cause you to die and will exalt you to Myself'[ and instead write يا عيسى إِنِّى رافعك إلى و متوفيك ] Jesus, I will exalt you towards Myself and cause you to die']. However, such distortion also was not possible since Almighty God has made four promises in this verse, as He says: 3 (1) يُعِيسَى إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ (2) وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَى (3) وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا (4) وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيمَةِ 1. Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian (Sūrah al-Hijr, 15:10). [Publisher] 2. O Jesus, I will cause you to die a natural death (Sūrah Al-e-Imran, 3:56). [Publisher] 3. And will exalt you to Myself (Sūrah Al-e-Imrān, 3:56). [Publisher] 4. And will clear thee from the charges of those who disbelieve (Sūrah Al-e- Imrān, 3:56). [Publisher] 5. And will place those who follow thee above those who disbelieve, until the Day of Resurrection (Sūrah Al-e-Imrān, 3:56). [Publisher]
