And no soul can die except by Allah’s leave

  • 606

    یٰعِیۡسٰۤی اِنِّیۡ مُتَوَفِّیۡکَ وَرَافِعُکَ اِلَیَّ وَمُطَہِّرُکَ مِنَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِیۡنَ اتَّبَعُوۡکَ فَوۡقَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡۤا اِلٰی یَوۡمِ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ

    O Jesus, I will cause thee to die a natural death and will exalt thee to Myself, and will clear thee from the charges of those who disbelieve, and will place those who follow thee above those who disbelieve, until the Day of Resurrection;

  • 606

    Return to thy Lord

  • 607

who pervert words from their proper places

  • 609

nor does any bearer of burden bear the burden of another.

  • 609

‘Surely, thou shalt have no power over My servants

  • 609

And peace was on him the day he was born

  • 609

Verily, thou canst not make the dead to hear,

  • 609

‘Except Thy chosen servants from among them.’

  • 610

hen in what thing will they believe thereafter

  • 610

In what word, then, after rejecting that of Allah and His Signs will they believe?

  • 611

who pervert words from their proper places

  • 611

Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian.

  • 615

Say, ‘If mankind and the Jinn gathered together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like thereof, even though they should help one another.’

  • 618

We bring one better than that or the like thereof

  • 619

And it is an inviolable law for a township which We have destroyed that they shall not return.

  • 619

Until, when death comes to one of them, he says entreating, ‘My Lord, send me back,

  • 619

‘That I may do righteous deeds in the life that I have left behind.’ Never, it is but a word that he utters. And behind them is a barrier until the day when they shall be raised again.

  • 620

And those who followed shall say: ‘If we could only return, we would disown them as they have disowned us.’ Thus will Allah show them their works as anguish for them, and they shall not get out of the Fire.

  • 620

They will wish to come out of the Fire, but they will not be able to come out of it, and they shall have a lasting punishment.

  • 620

nor shall they ever be ejected therefrom.

  • 620

they will not desire any change therefrom

  • 620

Then on the Day of Resurrection will you be raised up.

  • 620

And then He retains those against which He has decreed death

  • 621

those are the dwellers of Heaven; therein shall they abide.

  • 621

And they will not be able to make a will, nor will they return to their families.

  • 622

We have destroyed that they shall not return

  • 627

And if he be a liar, on him will be the sin of his lie; but if he is truthful, then some of that which he threatens you with will surely befall you. Certainly Allah guides not one who is a transgressor, and a liar.

  • 628

Those whom the angels cause to die while they are wronging their souls. Then will they offer submission, saying, ‘We used not to do any evil.’ Nay, surely, Allah knows well what you used to do.

  • 628

‘And how canst thou be patient about things the knowledge of which thou comprehendest not?’

  • 628

Allah takes away the souls of human beings at the time of their death; and during their sleep of those also that are not yet dead. And then He retains those against which He has decreed death, and sends back the others till an appointed term. In that surely are Signs for a people who reflect.

  • 628

Thou canst not keep company with me in patience

  • 630

I will cause thee to die a natural death and will exalt thee to Myself

These are verses of the Book and of the illuminating Qur’an

  • 631

This is nothing but a fabrication

  • 633

When Allah showed them to thee in thy dream as few

  • 633

We will never believe thee until thou cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth

  • 633

Do men think that they will be left alone because they say, ‘We believe,’ and that they will not be tested?

  • 634

To all We render aid — both to these and those — a gift from thy Lord.

  • 634

but when he sought to attain what he aimed at, Satan put obstacles in the way of what he sought after.
