اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۶﴾

Guide us in the right path —

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed {Thy} blessings, those who have not incurred {Thy} displeasure,

يَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعۡرِفُونَ أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡ

Recognize it even as they recognize their sons.

فَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَذِكۡرِكُمۡ ءَابَآءَكُمۡ أَوۡ أَشَدَّ ذِكۡرٗا

Celebrate the praises of Allah as you celebrated the praises of your fathers, or even more than that.

قُلۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِي يُحۡبِبۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ

Say, ‘If you love Allah, follow me: {then} will Allah love you.

يَٰعِيسَىٰٓ إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ

‘O Jesus, I will cause thee to die {a natural death} and will exalt thee to Myself.

وَلَقَدۡ نَصَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِبَدۡرٖ وَأَنتُمۡ أَذِلَّةٞ

And Allah had {already}helped you at Badr when you were weak.

مَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٞ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ

Muhammad is only a Messenger. Verily, {all} Messengers have passed away before him.

أَفَإِيْن مَّاتَ أَوۡ قُتِلَ

If then he die or be slain.

فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيۡتَنِي كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

But since Thou didst cause me to die, Thou hast been the Watcher over them.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُمۡ جَمِيعًا

‘O mankind! truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah.

وَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي نَعِدُهُمۡ أَوۡ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ

And if We show thee {in thy lifetime the fulfilment of} some of the things with which We have threatened them, {thou wilt know it} or if We cause thee to die

وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ قَدۡ كُذِبُواْ

And they (the disbelievers) thought that they had been told a lie.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوۡمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمۡ

Surely, Allah changes not the condition of a people until they change that which is in their hearts.

كَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدَۢا بَيۡنِي وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ وَمَنۡ عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

‘Sufficient is Allah as a Witness between me and you, and {so is} he who possesses knowledge of the Book.’

أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلٗا كَلِمَةٗ طَيِّبَةٗ كَشَجَرَةٖ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصۡلُهَا ثَابِتٞ

Dost thou not see how Allah sets forth the similitude of a good word? {It is} like a good tree, whose root is firm.

اِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا الذِّکۡرَ وَاِنَّا لَہٗ لَحٰفِظُوۡنَ ﴿۱۰﴾

Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most

فَسۡـَٔلُوٓاْ أَهۡلَ ٱلذِّكۡرِ إِن كُنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

So ask those who possess the Reminder, if you know not.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡعَدۡلِ وَٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآيِٕ ذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ

Verily, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to others; and giving like kindred.

لَا تَقۡفُ مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌ

Follow not that of which thou hast no knowledge.

قُلۡ سُبۡحَانَ رَبِّي هَلۡ كُنتُ إِلَّا بَشَرٗا رَّسُولٗا

Say, ‘Holy is my Lord! I am not but a man {sent as a} Messenger.

وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰکَ اِلَّا رَحۡمَۃً لِّلۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ﴿۱۰۸﴾

And We have sent thee not but as a mercy

أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ ظُلِمُواْ ۚ

Permission {to fight} is given to those against whom war is made, because they have been wronged.

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنكُمۡ

Allah has promised to those among you who believe.

إِن يَكُ كَٰذِبٗا فَعَلَيۡهِ كَذِبُهُۥ ۖ وَإِن يَكُ صَادِقٗا يُصِبۡكُم بَعۡضُ ٱلَّذِي يَعِدُكُمۡ

If he be a liar, on him will be {the sin of} his lie; but if he is truthful, then some of that which he threatens you with will {surely} befall you.

يُصِبۡكُم بَعۡضُ ٱلَّذِي يَعِدُكُمۡ

Some of that which he threatens you with will {surely} befall you.

وَإِن يَكُ صَادِقٗا يُصِبۡكُم بَعۡضُ ٱلَّذِي يَعِدُكُمۡ

But if he is truthful, then some of that which he threatens you with will {surely} befall you.

ٱدۡفَعۡ بِٱلَّتِي هِيَ أَحۡسَنُ

Repel {evil} with that which is best.

جَزَـٰٓؤُاْ سَيِّئَةٖ سَيِّئَةٞ مِّثۡلُهَا ۖ فَمَنۡ عَفَا وَأَصۡلَحَ

The recompense of an injury is an injury the like thereof; but whoso forgives and {his act} brings about reformation

جَزَـٰٓؤُاْ سَيِّئَةٖ سَيِّئَةٞ مِّثۡلُهَا ۖ فَمَنۡ عَفَا وَأَصۡلَحَ فَأَجۡرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ

The recompense of an injury is an injury the like thereof; but whoso forgives and {his act} brings about reformation, his reward is with Allah.

شَهِدَ شَاهِدٞ مِّنۢ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ

A witness from among the children of Israel bears witness.

لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ

None shall touch except those who are purified.

وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ

Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate {it}.

عٰلِمُ الۡغَیۡبِ فَلَا یُظۡہِرُ عَلٰی غَیۡبِہٖۤ اَحَدًا ﴿ۙ۲۷﴾

He is the Knower of the unseen; and He reveals

یَوۡمَ یَفِرُّ الۡمَرۡءُ مِنۡ اَخِیۡہِ ﴿ۙ۳۵﴾

On the day when a man flees from his brother,

فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا یُرِیۡدُ ﴿ؕ۱۷﴾

Doer of whatever He wills.
