إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we

اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۶﴾

Guide us in the right path —

اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۶﴾

Guide us in the right path —

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings.

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings.

الٓـمّٓ ۚ﴿۲﴾

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ

This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it;

ذٰلِکَ الۡکِتٰبُ لَا رَیۡبَ ۚۖۛ فِیۡہِ ۚۛ ہُدًی لِّلۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۳﴾

This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in

ذٰلِکَ الۡکِتٰبُ لَا رَیۡبَ ۚۖۛ فِیۡہِ ۚۛ ہُدًی لِّلۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۳﴾

This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ

This is a perfect Book;

هُدٗى لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ

A guidance for the righteous,

لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ

There is no doubt in it;

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ

This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it.

الَّذِیۡنَ یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡغَیۡبِ وَیُقِیۡمُوۡنَ الصَّلٰوۃَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰہُمۡ یُنۡفِقُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۴﴾

Who believe in the unseen and observe Prayer, and spend

وَالَّذِیۡنَ یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَیۡکَ وَمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِکَ ۚ

And who believe in that which has been revealed to

اُولٰٓئِکَ عَلٰی ہُدًی مِّنۡ رَّبِّہِمۡ ٭ وَاُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الۡمُفۡلِحُوۡنَ ﴿۶﴾

It is they who follow the guidance of their Lord

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا سَوَآءٌ عَلَیۡہِمۡ ءَاَنۡذَرۡتَہُمۡ اَمۡ لَمۡ تُنۡذِرۡہُمۡ لَا

Those who have disbelieved — it being equal

خَتَمَ اللّٰہُ عَلٰی قُلُوۡبِہِمۡ وَعَلٰی سَمۡعِہِمۡ ؕ وَعَلٰۤی اَبۡصَارِہِمۡ غِشَاوَۃٌ

Allah has set a seal on their hearts and their

وَإِن كُنتُمۡ فِي رَيۡبٖ مِّمَّا نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِنَا فَأۡتُواْ بِسُورَةٖ مِّن مِّثۡلِهِۦ وَٱدۡعُواْ شُهَدَآءَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ

And if you are in doubt as to what We have sent down to Our servant, then produce a Chapter like it, and call upon your helpers beside Allah.

فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلُوۡا وَلَنۡ تَفۡعَلُوۡا فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِیۡ وَقُوۡدُہَا النَّاسُ

But if you do it not — and

أَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ

Dost thou not know that Allah has the power to do all that He wills?

وَمَنۡ اَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنۡ مَّنَعَ مَسٰجِدَ اللّٰہِ اَنۡ یُّذۡکَرَ فِیۡہَا اسۡمُہٗ

And who is more unjust than he who prohibits the

فَسَيَكۡفِيكَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

And Allah will surely suffice thee against them, for He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

هُدٗى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَٰتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَٱلۡفُرۡقَانِ ۚ

As a guidance for mankind with clear proofs of guidance and discrimination.

أَلَآ إِنَّ نَصۡرَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٞ

Yea, surely the help of Allah is nigh.

قُلۡ لِّلَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا سَتُغۡلَبُوۡنَ وَتُحۡشَرُوۡنَ اِلٰی جَہَنَّمَ ؕ وَبِئۡسَ الۡمِہَادُ

Say to those who disbelieve, ‘You shall be overcome and

قُلِ اللّٰہُمَّ مٰلِکَ الۡمُلۡکِ تُؤۡتِی الۡمُلۡکَ مَنۡ تَشَآءُ وَتَنۡزِعُ الۡمُلۡکَ

Say, ‘O Allah, Lord of sovereignty, Thou givest sovereignty to

فَاِنۡ تَوَلَّوۡا فَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَلِیۡمٌۢ بِالۡمُفۡسِدِیۡنَ ﴿٪۶۴﴾

But if they turn away, then remember that Allah knows

وَدَّتۡ طَّآئِفَۃٌ مِّنۡ اَہۡلِ الۡکِتٰبِ لَوۡ یُضِلُّوۡنَکُمۡ ؕ وَمَا یُضِلُّوۡنَ

A section of the People of the Book would fain

وَقَالَتۡ طَّآئِفَۃٌ مِّنۡ اَہۡلِ الۡکِتٰبِ اٰمِنُوۡا بِالَّذِیۡۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلَی الَّذِیۡنَ

And a section of the People of the Book say,

ضُرِبَتۡ عَلَیۡہِمُ الذِّلَّۃُ اَیۡنَ مَا ثُقِفُوۡۤا اِلَّا بِحَبۡلٍ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ

Smitten shall they be with abasement wherever they are found,

وَإِن تَصۡبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ لَا يَضُرُّكُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا ۗ

But if you be steadfast and righteous, their designs will not harm you at all; surely, Allah encompasses all that they do.

وَلَا تَہِنُوۡا وَلَا تَحۡزَنُوۡا وَاَنۡتُمُ الۡاَعۡلَوۡنَ اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِیۡنَ ﴿۱۴۰﴾

Slacken not, nor grieve; and you shall certainly have the

وَلَا يَحۡزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِي ٱلۡكُفۡرِ ۚ إِنَّهُمۡ لَن يَضُرُّواْ ٱللَّهَ شَيۡـٔٗا ۚ -------وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

And let not those who hastily fall into disbelief grieve thee; surely, they cannot harm Allah in any way.-------------- and they shall have a severe punishment.

وَلَتَسۡمَعُنَّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُوٓاْ أَذٗى كَثِيرٗا ۚ وَإِن تَصۡبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَإِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ عَزۡمِ ٱلۡأُمُورِ

And you shall surely hear many hurtful things from those who were given the Book before you and from those who set up equals to God. But if you show fortitude and act righteously, that indeed is a matter of strong determination.

وَّيُحِبُّونَ أَن يُحۡمَدُواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يَفۡعَلُواْ فَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّهُم بِمَفَازَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ

And love to be praised for what they have not done — think not that they are secure from punishment. They shall suffer a grievous chastisement.

اِنَّ فِیۡ خَلۡقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَاخۡتِلَافِ الَّیۡلِ وَالنَّہَارِ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّاُولِی

In the creation of the heavens and the earth and

ٱلَّذِينَ يَذۡكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ قِيَٰمٗا وَقُعُودٗا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمۡ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلۡقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقۡتَ هَٰذَا بَٰطِلٗا

Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and ponder over the creation of the heavens and the earth: “Our Lord, Thou hast not created this in vain; nay.

وَمَنۡ یَّعۡمَلۡ سُوۡٓءًا اَوۡ یَظۡلِمۡ نَفۡسَہٗ ثُمَّ یَسۡتَغۡفِرِ اللّٰہَ یَجِدِ

And whoso does evil or wrongs his soul, and then

وَالَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ سَنُدۡخِلُہُمۡ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِیۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِہَا الۡاَنۡہٰرُ

But as to those who believe and do good works,

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا وَظَلَمُوۡا لَمۡ یَکُنِ اللّٰہُ لِیَغۡفِرَ لَہُمۡ وَلَا

Surely, those who have disbelieved and have acted unjustly, Allah

إِلَّا طَرِيقَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدٗا ۚ

Except the way of Hell, wherein they shall abide for a long, long period.

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي

This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you .

قَدۡ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٞ وَكِتَٰبٞ مُّبِينٞ

There has come to you indeed from Allah a Light and a clear Book.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَن يَرۡتَدَّ مِنكُمۡ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوۡفَ يَأۡتِي ٱللَّهُ بِقَوۡمٖ يُحِبُّهُمۡ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

O ye who believe! whoso among you turns back from his religion, then let it be known that in his stead Allah will soon bring a people whom He will love and who will love Him, and who will be kind and humble towards believers, hard and firm against disbelievers.

وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ مَغۡلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتۡ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ

And the Jews say, ‘The hand of Allah is tied up.’ Their own hands shall be tied up.

وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ

And Allah will protect thee from men.

وَلَقَدِ اسۡتُہۡزِیٴَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِکَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِیۡنَ سَخِرُوۡا مِنۡہُمۡ مَّا

And surely have the Messengers been mocked at before thee,

قُلۡ سِیۡرُوۡا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ ثُمَّ انۡظُرُوۡا کَیۡفَ کَانَ عَاقِبَۃُ الۡمُکَذِّبِیۡنَ

Say, ‘Go about in the earth, and see what was

وَلَقَدۡ کُذِّبَتۡ رُسُلٌ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِکَ فَصَبَرُوۡا عَلٰی مَا کُذِّبُوۡا وَاُوۡذُوۡا

And Messengers indeed have been rejected before thee; but notwithstanding

وَقَالُوۡا لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَیۡہِ اٰیَۃٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّہٖ ؕ قُلۡ اِنَّ

And they say, ‘Why has not a Sign been sent

مَّا فَرَّطۡنَا فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِن شَيۡءٖ ۚ

We have left out nothing in the Book.

قُلۡ ہُوَ الۡقَادِرُ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ یَّبۡعَثَ عَلَیۡکُمۡ عَذَابًا مِّنۡ فَوۡقِکُمۡ

Say, ‘He has power to send punishment upon you from

وَٱجۡتَبَيۡنَٰهُمۡ

And We chose them .

وَمَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦٓ إِذۡ قَالُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٖ مِّن شَيۡءٖ

And they do not make a just estimate of Allah, when they say: ‘Allah has not revealed anything to any man.

وَإِذَا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ ءَايَةٞ قَالُواْ لَن نُّؤۡمِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُؤۡتَىٰ مِثۡلَ مَآ أُوتِيَ رُسُلُ ٱللَّهِۘ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ حَيۡثُ يَجۡعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُۥ

And when there comes to them a Sign, they say, ‘We will not believe until we are given the like of that which Allah’s Messengers have been given.’ Allah knows best where to place His Message.

اِنَّ مَا تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ لَاٰتٍ ۙ وَّمَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ بِمُعۡجِزِیۡنَ ﴿۱۳۵﴾

Surely, that which you are promised shall come to pass

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي هَدَىٰنَا لِهَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهۡتَدِيَ لَوۡلَآ أَنۡ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ

‘All praise belongs to Allah Who has guided us to this. And we could not have found guidance, if Allah had not guided us.

رَبَّنَا ٱفۡتَحۡ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَ قَوۡمِنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡفَٰتِحِينَ

O our Lord, decide Thou between us and between our people with truth, and Thou art the Best of those who decide.

أَلَسۡتُ بِرَبِّكُمۡ ۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ

by saying: ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They say, ‘Yea,

وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ ٱلَّذِيٓ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتِنَا

And relate to them the story of him to whom We gave Our Signs.

أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ كَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ

They are like cattle.

قُلِ ٱدۡعُواْ شُرَكَآءَكُمۡ ثُمَّ كِيدُونِ فَلَا تُنظِرُونِ

Say, ‘Call upon the partners you associate with God, then contrive ye all against me, and give me no time.

اِنَّ وَلِیِّ یَ اللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡ نَزَّلَ الۡکِتٰبَ ۫ۖ وَہُوَ یَتَوَلَّی الصّٰلِحِیۡنَ

‘Truly, my protector is Allah Who revealed the Book. And

وَاِذَا لَمۡ تَاۡتِہِمۡ بِاٰیَۃٍ قَالُوۡا لَوۡلَا اجۡتَبَیۡتَہَا ؕ قُلۡ اِنَّمَاۤ

And when thou bringest not to them a Sign, they

وَيُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُحِقَّ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَيَقۡطَعَ دَابِرَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

but Allah desired to establish the truth by His words and to cut off the root of the disbelievers,

لِیُحِقَّ الۡحَقَّ وَیُبۡطِلَ الۡبَاطِلَ وَلَوۡ کَرِہَ الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ ۚ﴿۹﴾

That He might establish the truth and bring to naught

وَاِذۡ یَمۡکُرُ بِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لِیُثۡبِتُوۡکَ اَوۡ یَقۡتُلُوۡکَ اَوۡ یُخۡرِجُوۡکَ

And remember the time when the disbelievers plotted against thee

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَهُمۡ لِيَصُدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَسۡرَةٗ ثُمَّ يُغۡلَبُونَ ۗ

Surely, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to turn men away from the way of Allah. They will surely continue to spend it; but then shall it become a source of regret for them, and then shall they be overcome.

کَدَاۡبِ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ۙ وَالَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمۡ ؕ کَفَرُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِ

Their case is like the case of the people of

وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّكُمۡ غَيۡرُ مُعۡجِزِي ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡزِي ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

And know that you cannot frustrate the plan of Allah and that Allah will humiliate the disbelievers.

یُرِیۡدُوۡنَ اَنۡ یُّطۡفِـُٔوۡا نُوۡرَ اللّٰہِ بِاَفۡوَاہِہِمۡ وَیَاۡبَی اللّٰہُ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ

They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with their

ہُوَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَرۡسَلَ رَسُوۡلَہٗ بِالۡہُدٰی وَدِیۡنِ الۡحَقِّ لِیُظۡہِرَہٗ عَلَی الدِّیۡنِ

He it is Who sent His Messenger with guidance and

الٓرٰ ۟ تِلۡکَ اٰیٰتُ الۡکِتٰبِ الۡحَکِیۡمِ ﴿۲﴾

Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the Book

اَکَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا اَنۡ اَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ اِلٰی رَجُلٍ مِّنۡہُمۡ اَنۡ اَنۡذِرِ

Is it a matter of wonder for men that We

وَیَقُوۡلُوۡنَ لَوۡلَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلَیۡہِ اٰیَۃٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّہٖ ۚ فَقُلۡ اِنَّمَا

And they say, ‘Why has not a Sign been sent

وَیَقُوۡلُوۡنَ مَتٰی ہٰذَا الۡوَعۡدُ اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِیۡنَ ﴿۴۹﴾

And they say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if

قُلۡ لَّاۤ اَمۡلِکُ لِنَفۡسِیۡ ضَرًّا وَّلَا نَفۡعًا اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ

Say, ‘I have no power for myself over any harm

لَہُمُ الۡبُشۡرٰی فِی الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا وَفِی الۡاٰخِرَۃِ ؕ لَا تَبۡدِیۡلَ

For them are glad tidings in the present life and

لَهُمُ ٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

For them are glad tidings in the present life

كِتَٰبٌ أُحۡكِمَتۡ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتۡ مِن لَّدُنۡ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ

This is a Book whose verses have been made unchangeable and then they have been expounded in detail. It is from One Wise, and All-Aware.

فَإِلَّمۡ يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لَكُمۡ فَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ بِعِلۡمِ ٱللَّهِ

And if they do not respond to you, then know that it has been revealed replete with Allah’s knowledge

مَا كَانَ حَدِيثٗا يُفۡتَرَىٰ وَلَٰكِن تَصۡدِيقَ ٱلَّذِي بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَتَفۡصِيلَ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

It is not a thing that has been forged, but a fulfilment of that which is before it and a detailed exposition of all things, and a guidance and a mercy to a people who believe.

أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَسَالَتۡ أَوۡدِيَةُۢ بِقَدَرِهَا

He sends down water from the sky, so that valleys flow according to their measure

وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ تُصِيبُهُم بِمَا صَنَعُواْ قَارِعَةٌ أَوۡ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبٗا مِّن دَارِهِمۡ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَ وَعۡدُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخۡلِفُ ٱلۡمِيعَادَ

And as for those who disbelieve, disaster shall not cease to befall them for what they have wrought or to alight near their home, until the promise of Allah comes to pass. Surely, Allah fails not in His promise.

الٓر ۚ كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَيۡكَ لِتُخۡرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ

Alif Lam Ra. This is a Book which We have revealed to thee that thou mayest bring mankind out of every kind of darkness into light.

وَقَدۡ مَکَرُوۡا مَکۡرَہُمۡ وَعِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ مَکۡرُہُمۡ ؕ وَاِنۡ کَانَ مَکۡرُہُمۡ

And they have already made their designs; but their designs

فَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ اللّٰہَ مُخۡلِفَ وَعۡدِہٖ رُسُلَہٗ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَزِیۡزٌ

Think not then that Allah will fail to keep His

وَقَالُوۡا یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡ نُزِّلَ عَلَیۡہِ الذِّکۡرُ اِنَّکَ لَمَجۡنُوۡنٌ ؕ﴿۷﴾

And they said, ‘O thou to whom this Exhortation has

اِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا الذِّکۡرَ وَاِنَّا لَہٗ لَحٰفِظُوۡنَ ﴿۱۰﴾

Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most

وَمَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡکَ الۡکِتٰبَ اِلَّا لِتُبَیِّنَ لَہُمُ الَّذِی اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِیۡہِ

And We have not sent down to thee the Book

اَلَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا وَصَدُّوۡا عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ زِدۡنٰہُمۡ عَذَابًا فَوۡقَ الۡعَذَابِ

As for those who disbelieve and turn men away from

وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ تِبۡيَٰنٗا لِّكُلِّ شَيۡءٖ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ وَبُشۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

And We have sent down to thee the Book to explain everything, and a guidance, and a mercy, and glad tidings to those who submit to God.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡعَدۡلِ وَٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآيِٕ ذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ

Verily, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to others; and giving like kindred.

وَكُلَّ شَيۡءٖ فَصَّلۡنَٰهُ تَفۡصِيلٗا

We have explained with a detailed explanation.

إِنَّ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡبَصَرَ وَٱلۡفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ كَانَ عَنۡهُ مَسۡـُٔولٗا

Verily, the ear and the eye and the heart — all these shall be called to account.

قُلۡ لَّئِنِ اجۡتَمَعَتِ الۡاِنۡسُ وَالۡجِنُّ عَلٰۤی اَنۡ یَّاۡتُوۡا بِمِثۡلِ ہٰذَا

Say, ‘If mankind and the Jinn gathered together to produce

وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ نَزَلَ ۗ

And in truth have We sent it down and with truth has it descended.

اِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا مَا عَلَی الۡاَرۡضِ زِیۡنَۃً لَّہَا لِنَبۡلُوَہُمۡ اَیُّہُمۡ اَحۡسَنُ

Verily, We have made all that is on the earth

وَعَلَّمۡنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا عِلۡمٗا

And whom We had taught knowledge from Ourself.

فَوَجَدَا عَبۡدًا مِّنۡ عِبَادِنَاۤ اٰتَیۡنٰہُ رَحۡمَۃً مِّنۡ عِنۡدِنَا وَعَلَّمۡنٰہُ مِنۡ

Then found they one of Our servants upon whom We

وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمٗا

And say, ‘O my Lord, increase me in knowledge.’

وَأَسَرُّواْ ٱلنَّجۡوَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ هَلۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ ۖ أَفَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلسِّحۡرَ وَأَنتُمۡ تُبۡصِرُونَ

And they keep their counsels secret — those who act wrongfully, then say, ‘Is this man aught but a human being like ourselves? Will you then accede to magic while you see it?’

قٰلَ رَبِّیۡ یَعۡلَمُ الۡقَوۡلَ فِی السَّمَآءِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ۫ وَہُوَ السَّمِیۡعُ

God said to the Prophet, “Say, ‘My Lord knows what

بَلۡ قَالُوۡۤا اَضۡغَاثُ اَحۡلَامٍۭ بَلِ افۡتَرٰٮہُ بَلۡ ہُوَ شَاعِرٌ ۚۖ

Nay, they say, ‘These are but confused dreams; nay, he

خُلِقَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مِنۡ عَجَلٍ ؕ سَاُورِیۡکُمۡ اٰیٰتِیۡ فَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنِ ﴿۳۸﴾

Man is made of haste. I will certainly show you

وَلَقَدۡ کَتَبۡنَا فِی الزَّبُوۡرِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ الذِّکۡرِ اَنَّ الۡاَرۡضَ یَرِثُہَا

And already have We written in the Book of David,

اُذِنَ لِلَّذِیۡنَ یُقٰتَلُوۡنَ بِاَنَّہُمۡ ظُلِمُوۡا ؕ وَاِنَّ اللّٰہَ عَلٰی نَصۡرِہِمۡ

Permission to fight is given to those against whom war

اَمۡ یَقُوۡلُوۡنَ بِہٖ جِنَّۃٌ ؕ بَلۡ جَآءَہُمۡ بِالۡحَقِّ وَاَکۡثَرُہُمۡ لِلۡحَقِّ

Or do they say, there is madness in him? Nay,

وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الۡحَقُّ اَہۡوَآءَہُمۡ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالۡاَرۡضُ وَمَنۡ فِیۡہِنَّ ؕ

And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily, the

وَاِنَّا عَلٰۤی اَنۡ نُّرِیَکَ مَا نَعِدُہُمۡ لَقٰدِرُوۡنَ ﴿۹۶﴾

And certainly We have the power to show thee that

قُل لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يَغُضُّواْ مِنۡ أَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡ وَيَحۡفَظُواْ فُرُوجَهُمۡ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَزۡكَىٰ لَهُمۡ

Say to the believing men that they restrain their eyes and guard their private parts. That is purer for them.

ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.

تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارٞ ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٖ ۚ يَهۡدِي ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَيَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٞ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.

ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.

مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشۡكَوٰةٖ فِيهَا مِصۡبَاحٌ ۖ

The similitude of His light is as a lustrous niche, wherein is a lamp.

وَمَن لَّمۡ يَجۡعَلِ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ نُورٗا فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن نُّورٍ

And he whom Allah gives no light — for him there is no light at all.

وَاللّٰہُ خَلَقَ کُلَّ دَآبَّۃٍ مِّنۡ مَّآءٍ ۚ فَمِنۡہُمۡ مَّنۡ یَّمۡشِیۡ

And Allah has created every animal from water. Of them

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنكُمۡ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ لَيَسۡتَخۡلِفَنَّهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَمَا ٱسۡتَخۡلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ دِينَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي ٱرۡتَضَىٰ لَهُمۡ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ خَوۡفِهِمۡ أَمۡنٗا ۚ يَعۡبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشۡرِكُونَ بِي شَيۡـٔٗا ۚ

Allah has promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth, as He made Successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security and peace after their fear: They will worship Me, and they will not associate anything with Me.

قُلۡ مَا یَعۡبَؤُا بِکُمۡ رَبِّیۡ لَوۡلَا دُعَآؤُکُمۡ ۚ فَقَدۡ کَذَّبۡتُمۡ

Say to the disbelievers: ‘But for your prayer to Him

ہَلۡ اُنَبِّئُکُمۡ عَلٰی مَنۡ تَنَزَّلُ الشَّیٰطِیۡنُ ﴿۲۲۲﴾ؕ

Shall I inform you on whom the evil ones descend?

تَنَزَّلُ عَلٰی کُلِّ اَفَّاکٍ اَثِیۡمٍ ﴿۲۲۳﴾ۙ

They descend on every great liar and sinner,

یُّلۡقُوۡنَ السَّمۡعَ وَاَکۡثَرُہُمۡ کٰذِبُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲۴﴾ؕ

Repeating what they hear, and most of them are liars.

وَالشُّعَرَآءُ یَتَّبِعُہُمُ الۡغَاوٗنَ ﴿۲۲۵﴾ؕ

And as for the poets — it is the erring

اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّہُمۡ فِیۡ کُلِّ وَادٍ یَّہِیۡمُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲۶﴾ۙ

Dost thou not see how they wander distracted in every

وَاَنَّہُمۡ یَقُوۡلُوۡنَ مَا لَا یَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲۷﴾ۙ

practise

وَسَيَعۡلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَيَّ مُنقَلَبٖ يَنقَلِبُونَ

And the wrongdoers will soon know to what place of return they shall return.

وَقُلِ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ سَیُرِیۡکُمۡ اٰیٰتِہٖ فَتَعۡرِفُوۡنَہَا ؕ وَمَا رَبُّکَ بِغَافِلٍ

And say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah; He will soon

لَرَآدُّكَ إِلَىٰ مَعَادٖ

Thee will bring these back to thy place of return.

وَتِلۡکَ الۡاَمۡثَالُ نَضۡرِبُہَا لِلنَّاسِ ۚ وَمَا یَعۡقِلُہَاۤ اِلَّا الۡعٰلِمُوۡنَ ﴿۴۴﴾

And these are similitudes which We set forth for mankind,

وَٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُواْ فِينَا لَنَهۡدِيَنَّهُمۡ سُبُلَنَا ۚ

And as for those who strive in Our path — We will surely guide them in Our ways.

فِطۡرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِي فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَيۡهَا ۚ لَا تَبۡدِيلَ لِخَلۡقِ ٱللَّهِ

And follow the nature made by Allah — the nature in which He has created mankind. There is no altering the creation of Allah.

وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِکَ رُسُلًا اِلٰی قَوۡمِہِمۡ فَجَآءُوۡہُمۡ بِالۡبَیِّنٰتِ فَانۡتَقَمۡنَا

And surely We sent Messengers before thee to their own

وَّدَاعِیًا اِلَی اللّٰہِ بِاِذۡنِہٖ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِیۡرًا ﴿۴۷﴾

And as a Summoner unto Allah by His command, and

اِنَّ اللّٰہَ وَمَلٰٓئِکَتَہٗ یُصَلُّوۡنَ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ ؕ یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا

Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ یُؤۡذُوۡنَ اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوۡلَہٗ لَعَنَہُمُ اللّٰہُ فِی الدُّنۡیَا وَالۡاٰخِرَۃِ

Verily, those who malign Allah and His Messenger — Allah

قُولُواْ قَوۡلٗا سَدِيدٗا

say the right word.

إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ

‘This is nothing but clear magic.’

قُلۡ جَآءَ الۡحَقُّ وَمَا یُبۡدِئُ الۡبَاطِلُ وَمَا یُعِیۡدُ ﴿۵۰﴾

Say, ‘The Truth has come, and falsehood could neither originate

فَمِنۡهُمۡ ظَالِمٞ لِّنَفۡسِهِۦ وَمِنۡهُم مُّقۡتَصِدٞ وَمِنۡهُمۡ سَابِقُۢ بِٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِ

And of them are some who are breaking down their own selves by suppressing their desires, and of them are some who keep to the right course, and of them are some who excel others in acts of goodness.

وَلَقَدۡ سَبَقَتۡ کَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الۡمُرۡسَلِیۡنَ ﴿۱۷۲﴾ۚۖ

And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants,

اِنَّہُمۡ لَہُمُ الۡمَنۡصُوۡرُوۡنَ ﴿۱۷۳﴾۪

That it is certainly they who would be helped;

وَاِنَّ جُنۡدَنَا لَہُمُ الۡغٰلِبُوۡنَ ﴿۱۷۴﴾

And that it is Our host that would certainly be

فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡہُمۡ حَتّٰی حِیۡنٍ ﴿۱۷۵﴾ۙ

So turn thou away from them for a while.

وَّاَبۡصِرۡہُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ یُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ﴿۱۷۶﴾

And watch them, for they will soon see.

وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦ ۚ

And yet they would frighten thee with those beside Him.

قُلۡ یٰقَوۡمِ اعۡمَلُوۡا عَلٰی مَکَانَتِکُمۡ اِنِّیۡ عَامِلٌ ۚ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

Say, ‘O my people, act as best you can; I

مَنۡ یَّاۡتِیۡہِ عَذَابٌ یُّخۡزِیۡہِ وَیَحِلُّ عَلَیۡہِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِیۡمٌ ﴿۴۱﴾

‘Who it is unto whom comes a punishment that will

اِنَّا لَنَنۡصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا فِی الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا وَیَوۡمَ یَقُوۡمُ

Most surely We help Our Messengers and those who believe,

وَقَالَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لَا تَسۡمَعُوۡا لِہٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنِ وَالۡغَوۡا فِیۡہِ لَعَلَّکُمۡ

And those who disbelieve say: ‘Listen not to this Qur’an,

فَلَنُذِیۡقَنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا عَذَابًا شَدِیۡدًا ۙ وَّلَنَجۡزِیَنَّہُمۡ اَسۡوَاَ الَّذِیۡ کَانُوۡا

And most certainly We will make those who disbelieve taste

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَكِتَٰبٌ عَزِيزٞ

And, truly, it is a mighty Book.

لَّا یَاۡتِیۡہِ الۡبَاطِلُ مِنۡۢ بَیۡنِ یَدَیۡہِ وَلَا مِنۡ خَلۡفِہٖ ؕ

Falsehood cannot approach it either from before or from behind

سَنُرِيهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فِي ٱلۡأٓفَاقِ وَفِيٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمۡ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ ۗ

Soon We will show them Our Signs in all parts of the earth, and among their own people until it becomes manifest to them that it is the truth.

وَقَالُوۡا لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ ہٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنُ عَلٰی رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الۡقَرۡیَتَیۡنِ عَظِیۡمٍ

And they say, ‘Why has not this Qur’an been sent

اَہُمۡ یَقۡسِمُوۡنَ رَحۡمَتَ رَبِّکَ ؕ نَحۡنُ قَسَمۡنَا بَیۡنَہُمۡ مَّعِیۡشَتَہُمۡ فِی

Is it they who would distribute the mercy of thy

أَهُمۡ يَقۡسِمُونَ رَحۡمَتَ رَبِّكَ

Is it they who would distribute the mercy of thy Lord?

نَحۡنُ قَسَمۡنَا بَيۡنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمۡ

It is We Who distribute among them their livelihood.

وَمَن لَّا يُجِبۡ دَاعِيَ ٱللَّهِ فَلَيۡسَ بِمُعۡجِزٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَيۡسَ لَهُۥ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءُ ۚ

‘And whoso does not respond to Allah’s Summoner, he cannot

وَعَدَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةٗ تَأۡخُذُونَهَا فَعَجَّلَ لَكُمۡ هَٰذِهِۦ وَكَفَّ أَيۡدِيَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَنكُمۡ وَلِتَكُونَ ءَايَةٗ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

Allah has promised you great spoils that you will take, and He has given you this in advance, and has restrained the hands of men from you, that it may be a Sign for the believers.

وَّاُخۡرٰی لَمۡ تَقۡدِرُوۡا عَلَیۡہَا قَدۡ اَحَاطَ اللّٰہُ بِہَا ؕ وَکَانَ

And He has promised you another victory, which you have

کَذٰلِکَ مَاۤ اَتَی الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمۡ مِّنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا قَالُوۡا

Even so there came no Messenger to those before them,

اَتَوَاصَوۡا بِہٖ ۚ بَلۡ ہُمۡ قَوۡمٌ طَاغُوۡنَ ﴿ۚ۵۴﴾

Have they made it a legacy to one another? Nay,

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُوۡنِ ﴿۵۷﴾

And I have not created the Jinn and the men

فَذَکِّرۡ فَمَاۤ اَنۡتَ بِنِعۡمَتِ رَبِّکَ بِکَاہِنٍ وَّلَا مَجۡنُوۡنٍ ﴿ؕ۳۰﴾

Admonish then. By the grace of thy Lord, thou art

وَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعۡيُنِنَا ۖ

So wait patiently for the judgment of thy Lord; for assuredly thou art before Our eyes.

اَکُفَّارُکُمۡ خَیۡرٌ مِّنۡ اُولٰٓئِکُمۡ اَمۡ لَکُمۡ بَرَآءَۃٌ فِی الزُّبُرِ ﴿ۚ۴۴﴾

Are your disbelievers better than those? Or have you an

اَمۡ یَقُوۡلُوۡنَ نَحۡنُ جَمِیۡعٌ مُّنۡتَصِرٌ ﴿۴۵﴾

Do they say, ‘We are a victorious host?’

سَیُہۡزَمُ الۡجَمۡعُ وَیُوَلُّوۡنَ الدُّبُرَ ﴿۴۶﴾

The hosts shall soon be routed and will turn their

ثُلَّۃٌ مِّنَ الۡاَوَّلِیۡنَ ﴿ۙ۴۰﴾

A large party from among the early Muslims,

وَثُلَّۃٌ مِّنَ الۡاٰخِرِیۡنَ ﴿ؕ۴۱﴾

And a large party from the later ones.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦٓ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ ۖ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ وَنُورُهُمۡ ۖ

And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and they are the Truthful and the Witnesses in the sight of their Lord, they will have their reward and their light.

کَتَبَ اللّٰہُ لَاَغۡلِبَنَّ اَنَا وَرُسُلِیۡ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ قَوِیٌّ عَزِیۡزٌ

Allah has decreed: ‘Most surely I will prevail, I and

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا ہَلۡ اَدُلُّکُمۡ عَلٰی تِجَارَۃٍ تُنۡجِیۡکُمۡ مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ

O ye who believe! shall I point out to you

تُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰہِ وَرَسُوۡلِہٖ وَتُجَاہِدُوۡنَ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ بِاَمۡوَالِکُمۡ وَاَنۡفُسِکُمۡ ؕ

That you believe in Allah and His Messenger, and strive

یَغۡفِرۡ لَکُمۡ ذُنُوۡبَکُمۡ وَیُدۡخِلۡکُمۡ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِیۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِہَا الۡاَنۡہٰرُ وَمَسٰکِنَ

He will forgive you your sins, and make you enter

وَاُخۡرٰی تُحِبُّوۡنَہَا ؕ نَصۡرٌ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ وَفَتۡحٌ قَرِیۡبٌ ؕ وَبَشِّرِ

And He will bestow another favour which you love: help

ہُوَ الَّذِیۡ بَعَثَ فِی الۡاُمِّیّٖنَ رَسُوۡلًا مِّنۡہُمۡ یَتۡلُوۡا عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰیٰتِہٖ

He it is Who has raised among the Unlettered people

ہُوَ الَّذِیۡ بَعَثَ فِی الۡاُمِّیّٖنَ رَسُوۡلًا مِّنۡہُمۡ یَتۡلُوۡا عَلَیۡہِمۡ اٰیٰتِہٖ

He it is Who has raised among the Unlettered people

وَّاٰخَرِیۡنَ مِنۡہُمۡ لَمَّا یَلۡحَقُوۡا بِہِمۡ ؕ وَہُوَ الۡعَزِیۡزُ الۡحَکِیۡمُ ﴿۴﴾

And among others from among them who have not yet

وَّاٰخَرِیۡنَ مِنۡہُمۡ لَمَّا یَلۡحَقُوۡا بِہِمۡ ؕ وَہُوَ الۡعَزِیۡزُ الۡحَکِیۡمُ ﴿۴﴾

And among others from among them who have not yet

ذٰلِکَ فَضۡلُ اللّٰہِ یُؤۡتِیۡہِ مَنۡ یَّشَآءُ ؕ وَاللّٰہُ ذُو الۡفَضۡلِ

That is Allah’s grace; He bestows it on whom He

إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٖ

Thou dost surely possess high moral excellences.

إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٖ

Thou dost surely possess high moral excellences.

مَا لَکُمۡ لَا تَرۡجُوۡنَ لِلّٰہِ وَقَارًا ﴿ۚ۱۴﴾

‘What is the matter with you that you expect not

وَقَدۡ خَلَقَکُمۡ اَطۡوَارًا ﴿۱۵﴾

‘And He has created you in different forms and different

اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡکُمۡ رَسُوۡلًا ۬ۙ شَاہِدًا عَلَیۡکُمۡ کَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلٰی

Verily, We have sent to you a Messenger, who is

فَعَصٰی فِرۡعَوۡنُ الرَّسُوۡلَ فَاَخَذۡنٰہُ اَخۡذًا وَّبِیۡلًا ﴿۱۷﴾

But Pharaoh disobeyed the Messenger, so We seized him with

فَكَيۡفَ تَتَّقُونَ إِن كَفَرۡتُمۡ

How will you then, if you disbelieve, guard yourselves?

اِنَّہٗ لَقَوۡلٌ فَصۡلٌ ﴿ۙ۱۴﴾

It is surely a decisive word,

وَّمَا ہُوَ بِالۡہَزۡلِ ﴿ؕ۱۵﴾

And it is not a useless talk.

فَاَلۡہَمَہَا فُجُوۡرَہَا وَتَقۡوٰٮہَا ۪ۙ﴿۹﴾

And He revealed to it what is wrong for it

لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ فِیۡۤ اَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِیۡمٍ ۫﴿۵﴾

Surely, We have created man in the best make;

يَتۡلُواْ صُحُفٗا مُّطَهَّرَةٗ

Reciting unto them the pure Scriptures.

فِیۡہَا کُتُبٌ قَیِّمَۃٌ ؕ﴿۴﴾

Therein are lasting commandments.
