82. THE DIVINIE BOOKS. Suhf-i-Ibrahim given to Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham) peace be upon him, Taurat given to hazrat Moosa (Moses) peace upon him, Zabur given to Hazrat. Dawood (David) peace be upon him, Injil given to Hazrat. Isa (Jesus) peace be upon him and the Holy Quran revealed word by word to Hazrat Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, are some of the Divine. Books mentioned in the Holy Quran. A Muslim has to believe in all the Divine Books. . While all previous Books were addressed to a particular people and were sent to fulfil the specific needs of the time, the Holy Quran has been revealed for the benefit of the whole of mankind. . Therefore though from the point of view of revelation, all. Divine Books are doubtless equal, yet some are superior to others on account of the quantum of their contents and the perfection of matters relating to the faith contained. therein. From this point of view the Holy Quran is superior to all Books in as much as are necessary for perfecting the religion, as, for instance, questions relating to the Unity of God, the negation of all types of shirk, remedies for the spiritual ills, arguments for the rejection of false religions and the proof of true doctrines that are set out forcefully in the Holy Quran. Quran, therefore, is a perfect Book, which comprises all knowledge and wisdom and its teachings are everlasting.
