52. But he who is driven by necessity, being neither disobedient nor exceeding the limit, it shall be no sin for him. . Surely Allah is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful. (2:173,174) حُرِمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا بالأَر لَو ذَلِكُمْ فِسْقُ الْيَوْمَ بَيسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن دِينِكُمْ بِالْأَزْلَهِ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَونَ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَمَ دِينًا فَمَنِ اضْطُرَ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفِ لِاثْمِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ (. Forbidden to you is the flesh of a dead animal, and blood and the flesh of a swine; and that on which the name of one other than Allah is invoked; and the flesh of an animal that has been strangled, or is beaten to death, or is killed by a fall, or is gored to death; and of which a wild animal has eaten, unless you have slaughtered it properly before its death; and that which has been slaughtered at an altar. And forbidden is also that you seek to know your lot by the divining arrows. That is an act of disobedience. This day there who disbelieve have despaired of harming your religion. So fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favours upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion. But whoso is driven by necessity to eat any of these, without being wilfully inclined to sin, in such a case, surely Allah is Most Forgiving, Ever. Merciful. (5:4)
