Allah says:. We sent the Messengers only as bearers of glad tidings. and as warners, then those who believe and work righteousness are subject neither to fear nor to grief; and chastisement befalls those who reject Our Signs because of their disobedience. (6:49,50) كَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ النَّبِيِّنَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ وَأَنزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَبَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِيمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيه. Mankind were one community, then they differed among themselves, so Allah raised Prophets as bearers of glad tidings and as warners and sent down with them the Book containing the truth that he might judge between the people wherein they differed. (2:214). SOME MESSENGERS ARE EXALTED ABOVE. OTHERS تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ مِنْهُم مَن كَلَّمَ اللهُ ورفع بعضهم درجات. Allah says:. Of the Messengers some have We exalted above others; among them there are those to whom Allah spoke and revealed to them a Law; and some of them He only exalted in rank. (2:254) 151
